I have a friend who if he tops up with £10 or more gets a spam text whcih takes £7.50 off. Despite phoning Virigin Mobile they keep coming. I have since added him to the TPS service to hopefully stop any more.

Is there anyway to get credit back after recieving these spam messages? Afterall, he didnt subscribe to anything :S

Does the TPS cover mobile communications? I thought it was just land lines. Your friend must have replyed to somthing. I suggest he rings Ofcom/Otelo

Has he tried replying to the text with the following "stop" "stop all" or "cancel" sometimes that stops em. Also if you put the shortcode number into the icstis website www.icstis.org.uk you should get details of the company sending them. Hope this helps.
