Nicely put, BG.

There was a few things in series one that I wasn't too keen on, but a heck of a lot that I loved. If I had been foolish to judge the new series only on the strength of the first episode, Rose, I doubt I would have watched the rest of the series. And I would have missed out on a heck of a lot!

I can't wait for series two and I think DT will surprise a lot of people. I get the feeling that if anything, it may well be darker that series one (which is a good thing, in my book.)

I think that having a Doctor that can play it a bit less 'intense' - but still be completely ruthless when needs arise - should make for some thrilling viewing.

I do like this no second chances angle which I hope they explore further in series two. I am keen to find out if this applies to all or just the people he happens to cross swords with. If it is both, then as someone else suggested, this could spell the end for Rose if she screws up again.

A lot to be honest depends not just on DT but on the quality of his general support, particularly the writing. They really must try and avoid too many "yeah, right" moments. The last series had it's fair share of these moments, and it was a tribute to, among other things, CE's acting ability that they had a neglible detrimental effect. It really is too much to ask that there won't be any in the upcoming episodes, but I hope they're kept to a minimum. It really is not possible to say yet how well DT will cope, in my opinion, because we haven't seen enough of him. The Christmas episode didn't entirely convince me, but it's totally unfair to pass judgement on just one episode.
