Without any credit added, your call is limited to 1 minute, however some people are reporting being able to make calls over 3 minutes without being disconnected.

Once you add €5.80 credit (€5 + 80c VAT) you can make longer calls to the free destinations, I believe they may have a 60 minute cut off like they do with their sister services, however the call is still free and you can simply re-dial.

€5.80 is approximately £4

Their sister service VoIP Buster offered free calls to UK landlines for over 8 months, and for the last few months (and still do) have SIP Discount, VoIP Cheap also offer free calls to UK landlines + others, however VoIP Cheap can only be run via their software and not an ATA.

ATA settings use sip.voipstunt.com

Why does the same company keep on offering what essentially looks like the same services just under a different name ? Is there a good business reason ?

Yeah it's the same as VoipCheap, from the same company, but more expensive for the charged calls!

Only fractionally. VoIPCheap call costs are in p/min, VoIPStunt, VoIPBuster and SIP Discount are all in c(€)/min.

There must be.

They also have indirect access services 18866, 1899 and 18185 as mentioned above.

And also too many to mention them all, call through services such as telesavers, telediscount, dialaround, telestunt, dialwise, cheapestcalls, bestminutes, discountdial. Also many in other EU countries too.

Yes, I am using it with a PAP2 ATA.

Settings:

Proxy: sip.voipstunt.com
User ID: [VoIP Stunt User ID]
Password: [VoIP Stunt Password]

Currently only allows use of the G711a codec.

DTMF Tx Method: In band

My current dial-plan is:

(<0:0044>[1-8]xx.|<999:00441216874070>|<123:00442070431320>|<:0044121>[2-8]xxxxxx|<##:00>xx.)

I hope you don't mind if I ask you some questions about your post.
Where did you purchase your PAP2?
Is it an unlocked version or did you unlock it from Vonage?
Could you explain your dial-plan? I kind of get the gist but not quite sure... If you could direct me to a website that explains I'd gladly read it myself!
Thanks in advance

Edit: Also, can it store more than one set of server settings?

Thanks for that Bextech.

Just set it up on a PAP2 and its working fine. The problen I had for the pass few days is that each time I try to place a call with sipdiscount, I only get a busy signal.

Purchase mine PAP2 ATA from http://www.broadbandbuyer.co.uk/

I too bought mine from broadband buyer, I bought the unlocked (non-vonage) version, as I wanted to use it straight away, and had heard the later revisions of the locked version couldn't be unlocked.

The PAP2 allows you to have two separate accounts, one on each line.

I too was having problems recently with sip discount.

I keep meaning to get around to putting linux and asterisk on my one PC, it is sitting here next to me awaiting the transformation.

Dial Plan:

It's a case of googling and sifting through all the information, I can't remember the sites I used to get the idea from.

The whole dial plan must be surrouned in ().

<0:0044> Means when I dial 0 dial 0044 instead. [1-8] accept digits 1 thru 8 for the first digital after 0 dialled, then xx. allow for 2 or more digits.

<999:00441216874070> When 999 is dialled, dial 00441216874070 (West Midlands Police Switchboard)

<123:00442070431320> When 123 is dialled, dial 00442070431320 a Speaking Clock service run by an individual over a Sipgate connection based in the West Midlands using a London 020 number.

<:0044121>[2-8]xxxxxx When a local number is dialled which begins with the digit 2 thru 8 prefix number with 0044121 which is the international code for dialing Birmingham. xxxxxx accept six more digits after the 1st one.

These will need to be edited for your local area and number of digits in your local number.

Hi All

This is my first post ony any forum. I have been reading the threads re VOIP with some interest over the last 2 or 3 months. Just like to say, I bought a Linksys PAP2 ( locked to Vonage) from Broadband Buyer about 2 weeks before Xmas for £26 (including VAT & postage). I unlocked it without any trouble and am now using it very successfully with Sipgate & Sipdiscount.

I have the option to add an inbound number, but when I try it says I have insufficient credit!
