It's now allowed me to get a VoIP-In number on both VoIP Stunt and SIP Discount. An 0121 660 nnnn number, which goes with the 0121 660 nnnn number I have with VoIP Cheap.

I have at least 30 VoIP numbers.
Several for Birmingham. I have them because they are free, and I use the service, once the free calls dry up I move on. I have a number for London, Liverpool, NI, Cardiff and other areas of the UK, I have a couple of USA numbers, a German number, and Italian number and a Romanian number. |

I'm really annoyed with voipstunt. I signed up and credited my account via paypal but the credit is not showing, I emailed them after a few hours and waited it's 2 days now and no reply, no credit!

Don't worry. The same thing happened to me when I signed up with Sipdiscount (sister co. to VoipStunt). It took 4 days for my credit to be recognised.

Does the service allow you top up with 5 euros?
It seems the default amount is 10, but that's just via PayPal. |

It seems that, from a few searches on Google, they've increased it to 10, without changing the text on the pages.
http://www.dslreports.com/forum/rema...lite=voipstunt When's www.voipscam.co.uk coming out?

Whats the quality like with this service - I know that with a cheap mic and VOIPBuster in september I did a 40 minute call (for free, of course
) and I found that it only seems to work 1 way, so only I or the other person could speak. - is it like this? Also, bextech, I had asterisk running on a linux box, but never used it because of a complete lack of need - but if you do get it set up properly it'll mean you can have a different number for each service you dial out and a whole load of really cool stuff.Leo |

The sound problem you had on VoIP Buster sounds like your sound card isn't full duplex, you would have the same problem with VoIP Stunt.
Unless you mean during a call you couldn't hear them, yet they could hear you, and then on another call vice versa, if so this would be a NAT router issue. |

I have made 3 phone calls on this service (VOIP stunt) now, 2 to my family on BT landlines in the UK and the third to a work colleague in Australia last night. The family said that it sounded like a normal call, however, the Australia call reported some delay, but I guess that would be expected over the distance.

I sent an email to them regarding the 3 month limit on the credit on an account. No response so far
Does anyone know if you loose the credit after 3 months if you don't use it through chargeable calls? I have only used free calls so far.

![]() I like www.DrayTEL.org . I know I sound a bit like Alan Sugar! The credit doesn't expire; they answer your emails; a phone number in any part of the UK; it's worked every time for me; they're connected - however loosely - to Draytek, who are clearly a large manufacturer of products in this field; they'll sell you an ATA for £29.99 (includes p&p, £2 call credit and... if you quote my a/c no. 836612 another £2 credit (and me too!); an answering service that can forward your messages by email; call forwarding; group pick-up; the list goes on... Here's hoping that someone else on Digitalspy will give them a go...

People write about credit that expires in 3 months, emails that aren't answered and services that have "off-days".

With the margins voipcheap must be working on I'm not expecting 24 / 7 support!. The difference between a years use on voipcheap and draytel could be £100+ a year on average usage. |

VoIP Cheap, VoIP Stunt, VoIP Buster, SIP Discount, NETAppel.fr are all run by Finarea SA, who run services in the UK such as 18866, 1899, 18185 and several call through services, I have been with 18866 and 1889 for over 2 years, no problems, they have services in other countries and have been trading since April 2000, so almost a 6 year presence can hardly be called fly by night.
So the free calls many not last for ever, I've so far managed around 8 months or so of free calls so far, so I am happy, that was when I only had to sign up with €1 and £1, I haven't yet had to top up again. I prefer having my own unlocked ATA, as I can trial and use the numerous amount of providers. |

Anyway, it was just a single Euro back then, anyway, so not a GREAT loss. |
