I am a new owner of an HXD710 - my terrestial channels are not picked up when I autotune and are not visible to select for recording from. My TV is a Sharp Aquos. I have read the manual and think I have made the proper connections, but clearly I am missing something, not doing something or just being silly - thank you in anticipation.

Have you got your aerial/freeview/sky/cable etc connected to your HXD710. If you are using a standard tuner the RF lead needs connecting to your Aerial in on the 710.

If you have freeview or sky make sure you are connected via scart to the units scart input and select that as your recording.

This may sound like a obvious question........

You do have Freeview in your area?

The HXD710 has only a Freeview tuner.

As I was going to say, the recorder only has a digital tuner.

Are you getting digital BBC1, BBC2, ITV etc as that is all you will get.
