Good man!

(Now all I need to do is work out a way of copying from the DVD-RW I made to my computer! )

Just got the season one box set - so nice to hear the theme without any announcers interrupting it.

Any news on this upload yet?

Dave_fade might be busy! Give him a chance...

Either that or his comp is saying 'I can't let you do this Dave - the risk is unacceptable' 'Dave?' 'Dave'.

There's a hint in this month's DWM that a CD of music from the new series of Doctor Who might be in the offing.

Sorry for the delay, been a bit busy promoting the release of my new album. Anyway, I've uploaded the theme to my web site so anyone who wants a copy, pm me and I'll give you the direct link.

For those of you that have pm'd me, I've now pm'd you back with the link. Just to clarify, the version I have is the 2005 extended titles mix which doesn't include the middle eight section as heard on the closing titles of the Dave Tennant Xmas Special. Hopefully, I will get a copy of that soon.

I really like the musical score in the new Doctor Who series. It's slick, and modern, and makes the show feel "big".

My only complaint is that it isn't anywhere near as scary as the old Doctor Who score used to be. It used to be loads of weird sinister electronic noises. They're all gone now

I agree the new music has its 'over-jolly' feeling to it but I thought it was perfect for the end of a Christmas Special. I wouldn't be that disappointed if it ended up being at the end of S2 episodes, but it will lose its scariness.

I have to agree wholeheartedly. I miss the 'tinkley/sparkley' and 'wooshing' sound effects that heralded the Tardis, and Tom Baker's face, during the mid-seventies time-corridor title-sequence.

Still gives me shivers up and down my spine...and I'm going on 37!!!

I still think the mid '70's version is the scariest, in terms of sound; and it's possibly also the cleanest.

I think Murray Gold's versions are too orchestral. After all, the whole point of the theme tune is to be "other-worldly".
These modern versions don't seem to fit properly either.

Bring back Delia Derbyshire!

Where'd you see this? If it's true it's fantastic news.

Is this Murray Gold's music from the series? Yippee!
