Hmm, bit of a tenuous way to try to get advertisers. How many listeners does your server support? Unless you've got a lot of funding, servers usually don't support more than 50, and I'd rather pay for a banner on here than advertise to just 50 people.
You'll have to do similar output to BBC Radio London this afternoon if you want me as a listener! |

I've got to giggle because BBC London isn't a music station. I've had to check out your website, I think other fellow FM's should check it out, this is my favourite page - http://mediavortex.atspace.org/profilesdjbodderz.html.
(I might venture out and listen to Kiss or XFM later if I want 'loud', for now I'm okay with BBC London, thanks for the offer anyway). Bon chance! |

You do, of course, have permission from the copyright holders to publically broadcast their work, don't you?

Well I had to have a listen, my advice if you want it would be get yourself down to your local hospital radio station and ask if they will let you sit in the same room as a presenter for a few shifts. See what they do, notice how they talk and ad-lib - you haven't got 'it' yet from lack of experience I'm afraid.
I get the impression you're not paying any licencing fees for your server, which you really need to do before broadcasting even though you say you are - most licences aren't a one-off fee, they're either royalty-based or subscriptions. Paying just your server provider isn't enough and you could get caught in legal action. Before you do this though, get more experience, then work out a marketing plan. Once you've worked it all out it should fall into place. Until then, I'd stick to handing out your web address around mates for now, it's not quite baked yet needs a while longer in the oven. |

What I'm trying to say in the most tactful way is I don't think you're going to get an audience outside your group of friends. Most internet-only stations don't, and when you do get a listener it's usually only literally one or two listeners who come on every few days for the novelty.
