Sending "Happy new year" texts
What time are we all sending these texts this year people?
Last year on o2 it took until about 3am to send them, so I was thinking about sending them earlier this year - or should I chance it that T-Mobile is a better network and congestion shouldn't be that bad |

Why bother at all? I can see the shareholders of all the networks rubbing their hands together at all the money people waste by doing this.

I will try and phone from my mobile a few mins after 12am but not sure if I will get though or not. I will text after 12am also but I think the first few text may not even send and if they do they may take anything from 10mins to an hour to arrive at the other end.

How bad has the congestion been in the past?
And does it matter if you are in the local area of the reciever and if you are on the same network? |

On every network after 12am here in South Manchester you dont get a signal at all for a few good hours. I just wait till later on in the Morning.

Virgin has worked seamlessly for me. Virgin to Virgin text messages have delivery reports right away. Delivery to people on o2 and Vodafone have been delayed for me though.
A delivery report to a friend who I think is on Orange came through right away. |

I phoned my girl at 12.01am from my 02 it gave a few rings then sent me to her Orange voicemail. Now it will no let me phone her. Tried 5 times to text her a text did get sent but the 02 delivery reoprt has yet to say ifd it has arrived. 02 website is also playing up a little. This is the only thing I hate about this time of year.

Rang my dad instanly and my mom. Now i cant ring any numer.
Sureley there is a system they could use to let more people use the network just for this time of the year. |

Nope once allocation is full thats it, need more cells and its these people you need to smash up for moaning about more going up! I think its about 130 actions one single cell can hold at once (Not microcells they can only hold a few.)
