8cm DVD-Rs

Hi there,

Has anyone with a Pio 433/530/630 tried recording onto 8cm DVD-Rs? I love the dinky little things but daren't buy a batch in case they bugger up my recorder.

Cheers.

I have a DVD Camcorder that uses these.
My Pioneer 420 accepts them and edits them if they are in VR mode.
But they are expensive compared to the normal discs.
What is the point of using them if you don't have to?

Thanks for the comments mongosito - I feel happier giving it a go now.

Of course, I'd use the regular discs usually as they're so cheap now - it's purely for novelty purposes that I would like to occasionally use the 8cm discs. (Can't use them in my iMac because it has a slot-loading mechanism.)

But they only hold about 40 minutes in SP.
However, they do play, record and even copy to the HDD perfectly

I may get some then - for novelty purposes only as stated . 25 for £5 approx online at UKDVDR.co.uk (which I think is not bad at all) versus about £3-£5 EACH in the shops!
