I don't know why they said they may have run out of ideas for her.
Pat seems to get involved in everything. ![]() -Brodie |

Great news. Pat is about the most realistic character in EEs. Every street in the East End has got a Pat.

Yay, pat is wasted on being mother hen for strays of the square! Now she can take in all those family members she hardly knows! :P

I think she's one of those actors/actresses that would have to leave if she ever went, I would be shocked if she ever got axed.

Yes, I remember that she was sidelined and the intention was to ultimately get rid of Pat. What an evil woman that Berridge was. ![]() Quote:

I really am looking forward to Pat's status in the square rising again once her family has been built up. Now, if only Pat would put the money she raised against her house into making a bid for the Vic, I'd be thrilled. Forget the bookies, girl - set your sights a bit higher! |

Kate Harwood seems to be taking a lot more care of her thankfully, Pat is great because she works well on her own now but she also works well with a family and I'm glad they're giving her another shot at a family following on from the Butchers and then the Evans.

She's like Dot, whatever scene they put Pat in it will work because Pam St. Clement knows the character and plays her to perfection. June Brown knows Dot and plays her to perfection, they are never weak in their scenes and I think that's marvellous. EastEnders needs people like her on the team and she seems to be very dedicated as well

Very true Pansiks. You can't beat the oldies really in soap, they were true pros. It was a great idea to bring in more family for her, shes such a versatile character but I'm a little dubious about her storyline with Patrick thats coming up.

I do hope the storyline with Patrick is all a storm in a teacup and nothing actually happens but if it does then no doubt it will work purely due to Pam St. Clement who could probably pull it off, it does sound like a rather dubious idea though. |

Pat is one of modern EE's foundations and without her the soap would definately take a tumble IMO (others are Ian, Pauline, Dot, and The Mitchells, I would include Sharon, as the soap truely shines with her in, but without it gets along quite well... mainly due to her 6 year break in the 90's we aclimatised to her being absent).
Great news though... it's strange but we never usually hear stuff about "longtermers" getting contract negotiations, unless they are planning on leaving! |
