If (and i really hope this never happens) Bosses at the BBC ever decided to axe eastenders, what would you like to happen in the last ever episode?

Well it's hard to say especially as EastEnders is hardly likely to be axed for a very long time (considering that the BBC doesn't need ratings as much as the commerical channels).

I would like it to end on a happy note but I don't really know how, would love to see Pauline and Ian in the last episode, not sure who would/should get the last line though maybe Pauline

By the time it ends there will probably be a new cast.

It will never end it is doing to good in ratings! Long live EastEnders! A similar ending to Family Affair I suppose, all happy and hopeful for the future.

Probably involve the Street been blown up and an aging Ian emerging from the wreckage on his zimmer frame saying "this never happened in my day".

Well that wasn't overly imaginative

If it was to end i'd want them to have something typical glum to contend with, disaster stylee!

The Sun is gonna hit the Earth, and they all have to make their plans for what they'll do in their final weeks before the collision. Characters carrying out actions they NEED to do before it's too late, things they've always planned or desired. Johnny Allen will come back and mow down the Mitchell brothers, Stacey Slater and Ruby will engage in a steamy affair on a late night episode, Pat will drag Patrick away from his lady and propose, Peggy Mitchell will finally get it on with Charlie Slater and Dawn will have that operation to unglue her back teeth so she can die with a natural smile.

When Pat croaks, that'll be the end.

I don't think Dot will get the last line, I can't see Dot being in the last episode taking into consideration things like June Brown's age etc, it's sad but it's true

I think it will go to either Pauline or Ian if they're still around

I don't think the show will finish if Pat dies, she's a very popular and successful character and she will be sorely missed if she leaves but I don't think her leaving should/would signal the end for the show.

Well June Brown is 78 at the moment and she's still getting plenty to do but I can't see her staying beyond a few more years. I think slowly they'll give her less and less to do and only have her crop up at things like birthday parties and at christmases etc but eventually she'll probably leave

I wouldn't want to see Dot die but this is Dot we're talking about and she is now married to Jim so I can't see her just leaving the Square, I think she'll probably die but it will be done in a really sensitive way I hope.

Oh I can't believe I'm talking about this heaven forbid it should ever happen but you have to be practical, I really will miss Dot when she goes mind you Betty Driver in Corrie is 85 and she's still there although her appearences are few and far between which I think is what they'll do with June Brown/Dot eventually.

The last episode would be just a normal humdrum one - until the last four minutes when rebels from russia launch a nuclear attack on this country - the air attack warning sounds and the last 3 minutes would be a frantic mess of scenes as we go from one family to the next to the sound of the siren. The final 5 second scene belongs to Dot Cotton who has her bible in her hand, looks at it and says "Oh Fu**" but just before she finishes the word there is a blinding flash of white light and black tiltes roll over this. No music.

There.

Personally, I think that it SHOULD end once all the old guard characters like Dot, Pauline, Pat, Ian, Phil, Sharon, Peggy leave because it just won't be EE anymore. This is why Pauline has never been axed, because she is part of the familiar furniture. The same applies to Corrie with Ken, Rita etc.

I'd like the last ever EE to involve a Den resurrection storyline. He and Chrissie faked Den's death and he's now living in 'Manchester', 'America', 'Spain' or 'Up West'. The last ever scene would be Den pointing a gun at Sharon and saying 'Goodbye, Princess' and then the duff duffs match the gunshots as the series ends forever.

I think it could end with Dots death...

Everyone comes to the funeral... Sharon, Michelle, Bianca, Mel, Lisa, Phil, Grant, Peggy, Chrissy, etcetcetc.
Evryone talking about Dot and the square and allt he good memories...

Not very "special", but I would love to see somethign like this...

THAT SHOULD HAPPEN - NOT AS A FINAL EPISODE
EASTENDERS MUST NEVER END!
BUT WHEN JUNE BROWN CANNOT WORK ANYMORE A BIG REUNION SHOULD BE HLED FOR THIS EASTEND LEGEND!

It should end simply how it started with Reg Cox waking up from his coma in Hospital with Den and Arthur at his bedside and Reg realising all these years have been a long dream.
