T-Mobile Voice Mail
My phone is showing a symbol to say i have a voice message, however my voice mailbox doesnt work!
I'm on the T-Moblie PAYG thing with an old one2one sim and if i go via 150 and get the number sent to the phone for voice mail to call, then call it i get directed to something which IDs its self as the Vodafone voice mail service for (number T-Mob sent me)! Checking the http://mnnc.net/index.php database and that number is registered to Vodafone. Any ideas whats going on here? I know i could also dial my mobile number and interrupt the voice mail and get the message that way, but it aparently will ask for a pin, and i dont remember ever setting one of those! |

Call 222, listen to the message and do as it says.
You norm have to listen to the message, switch your phone off for about 30 seconds and switch it back on. Voicemail will be set up for you to listen. If you don't want voicemail on any more only way you can switch it off is by giving customer services a ring on 150. |

T-Mobile
The best thing to do is delete the number stored in 'voicemail box number'
Then replace it with +44061(Then your mobile number without the first 0) So it would look like this: +440617953966066 NOTE: T-Mobile charge 10p per minute on Mate rates for voicemail. Why not change to Virgin or O2? |

Thanks...I tried the 222 way several times and got the network message but it was unable to change the number...doing what you've suggested sorted it.

Yes, O2 charges 10p a call for voicemail.
As for T-Mobile payg voicemail - on Mates Rates it is indeed 10p a minute, while on Relax it's still free. Oh, and crowfield is quite right - just ring 222, listen and do as it says, which 'resets' the voicemail box... which doesn't necessarily start with +44061... |

When I was on T-Mobile Contract I had to call 222 about six times for it to update. I did it without switching the phone off, did it six times then switched the phone off it got it in the end.
