Finally, after 15 months I'm doing my first episode thread. Yay!

Paul and Ivan are getting cosy at Mill Cottage, but are disturbed by Nicola.

When she disappears again, Paul asks Ivan why he insists on keeping their relationship quiet. The bush binman tells him that he’s never had a relationship with a man before and is finding it hard to come to terms with.

An understanding Paul agrees to keep it under wraps for now, but it’s clear that he’s finding it frustrating.

Elsewhere and Viv is certain she wants to make Bob’s wedding day special and after talking to Val is persuaded that she must call his ex-wife Barbara.

Finally, it’s a strange sight as we watch Matthew come to terms with heart break. After several taunts from Jimmy, he decides to drown his sorrows in the Woolpack.

Loving the Paul & Ivan stuff.

Oh it was a bit too much so close to 7pm especially when lots of kids watch the ITV soaps

Good to see a bit of effective realism though.

It was two blokes kissing. Kids will see worse on the news, like 9/11, starvation in Africa, Tsunamis, etc

Tom: "Thanks for last night, Edna, you made four hungry men very happy"

Had no one seen last night's episode, they would have been freaked out !

I know but for kids as young as 5 and 6 they won't have had the birds and bees chat yet let alone been taught about same sex relationships.

Kids at 5/6 wont have had the fact that terrorists can murder you in your own town by blowing you up on a bus yet..

Yes because the news is likely to have a lot of viewers who are 5 & 6

Any second now you're going to say : "I'm not homophobic, but...."

Presumably they shouldn't have a man and a woman snogging on a sofa either then as that won't have made it on the 5 or 6 year old curriculum...

Anyways good episode

I liked the Paul & Ivan stuff, Daniel who plays Ivan is doing a good job, not too sure about Matthew Bose again but he's adequate enough.

LOL @ that line from Tom about Edna making four hungry men very happy

I loved Ivan's face when Rodney was talking about Paul and his new man and how they should keep it under wraps. It was priceless.

Children are television addicts, they'll watch anything their parents are watching.

How on earth did you get the impression I'm homophobic from my post?

I'm shocked I'm NOT homophobic, I personally didn't mind the scene I was only commenting that it would probably cause a few raised eyebrows in households where there are young children watching.

Well I'm not homophobic

I personally wasn't bothered by the scenes and I've said that...

Missed a lot of tonight's, but I'm glad they had scenes like that with Paul and Ivan getting close...we haven't seen them properly kiss once until now, and then we get it twice in one episode!

Why is it that people keep slagging off Matthew Bose acting, if you want to see bad acting look at Marlon, dreadful!!!
