Mike Baldwins illness must be the quickest descent into senility ever. One minute he's Mike the wheeler deeler, next he can't remember his own name.

I know he wants out of it but it's getting silly.

He started getting forgetful last May I think it was, so it's hardly been overnight.

Dementia affects people different ways, and can come on over a matter of years, or in an instant. I think the story is being played out fairly well, and am watching with interest how the rest of the story plays out.

Senility does not happen that fast. Even if it started last may, he would not lose his faculties that quickly. He always seems to forget things at dramatic moments.

And would somebody please buy sophie webster the bra she wants. Whats the big problem with doing so ?? The girl was desperate for one for xmas, so why didn't they just buy her one and do us all a favour.

She seems to have inherited the cheeky wee tyke role formerly occupied by David Platt.

Good first episode so far.

The "I Hate You" Rosie conversation was played well. Oh the memories.

Sophie & Hayley interaction was good.

Even though Liz looks a bit like Crystal Tipps, her hair does look nice and it compliments her.

Are we seeing a serious side to Sean now?

Glad to see Carmel Morgan writing again.

Ed & Emily storyline is starting off good too
9/10

Good first episode, The Websters were great, I thought Kevin was good epecially liked his scenes with Rawsie and Sophie over the table. Also him threatening to "batter" Craig and Rosie is the meet again!

Mike and Penny were also good, I think Mike's illness is spot on and its going at a nice pace. I hope Penny accepts his proposol.

Sean and Voilet talking about having a baby was out of the blue, I thought it was just a rumour, could be good if it happens soon.

Emily and Ed stuff is working nicely and building up, can't wait for this.

8/10

Another good episode.

Star of the episode was undoubtedly Sawfie, who was great in all her scenes. In fact everything about the Webster's stuff was well written & performed. Loved the way that Rhursie was trying to sneak down the stairs & Sawfie grassed her up by wishing her Happy New Year & the way that Kevin asked Sawfie where she'd sloped off to & then completely focused on Rhursie again before she even had time to give him an answer. It was nice to see Kevin & Sally realising that, on a practical level, they can't keep Rhursie inside number 13 twenty four hours a day seven days a week, but of course, in anger, the threats come out & they have no relationship at all to what's practical.

I enjoyed Audrey & Keith's little chat, especially as Audrey seemed to be suggesting that Gail was a good mother & we all know that ain't true!!!

Carol & Frankie were ok but nothing special as was the Sean / Violet conversation.

I'm a bit intrigued to know precisely what's on Hayley mind. She's had the same look on her face in every episode she's been in for over a week now & we're no nearer to finding out what's making her so concerned. Whatever it is it certainly isn't Sawfie's first bra.

Nice to see the forthcoming Bev / Fred relationship get a mention by Liz.

The Mike stuff was ok, but he certainly seems to have got more forgetful when Penny was away (at least according to Adam)

7 and a half out of 10.

First time I've watched Corrie in ages, although I only saw the first few mins and the second half. I just found the whiny Webster kids really amusing because they were so OTT. Rosie has such a tough life doesn't she? Poor kid.

Gotta love drama queens.
