Caesar the Geezer
Caesar was I think one of the originals
on Talk sport which back then was Talk Radio I think there was also a weird TV documentary about the start of the station and showed Caesar in action gosh he certainly had a face for radio !! not a pretty sight but then I think he was once a heavy working as a doorman for a London Club Anyway Caesar in his 10 to 1 spot was awesome he was a brilliant talk show host he d often ring in around 2 pm on his way home tucking into a big mac He was a big guy with a big heart but where is he now ? is he on streaming radio or pod cast anywhere ? It seemed that talk radio mgement gave him the chop in favour of the (bigheaded ) Whale I was gutted Caesar was the best thing on radio Hope he s still out there somewhere hes a great talent |

Caesar is/was most definitely everything that Whale isn't. IIRC he said they hired him and asked him to be really controversial, then he was fired for being too controversial.
Shame, he is in a different league from Whale, who's just a big headed idiot. |

He must be somewhere
the Geezer must be somewhere out there
prob local radio or something He was brill he had a slightly diff take on things prob because I think his background was Greek Cypriot. He had a big voice that filled the airwaves He was prob a bit over the top and I know he was working as a presenter on a late night porn channel Maybe it was the porn link that made his bosses decide to get rid of him Whale stepped in and like a leech attached himself to that late night spot now we cant get rid of him come back Caesar all is forgiven |

Is there a specific reason why these posts appear to be written as prose? Or is true what they say about stringing a sentance together?

He had a show on one of the Porn Channels for a while, but I remember him best from Invicta Radio... in those days he was a legend! I`m sure I can remember one night he had a young girl trying to commit suicide in a phone box call in as a last hope and he kept her talking until they could get someone out to her. . . and played the whole thing live on the radio. Brilliant Radio Presenter, I heard a rumour he had a show briefly on a small Kent station called Swale Sound which only had a temporary licence. Would love to see him back, would really brighten up the crap radio we now have down here. I believe his former radio companion "The Yob" was Ian Collins, now legendary presenter for Talk Sport!
Found this on the net.. I`ve got one of these signed by him and The Yob somewhere! ![]() http://www.tellytunes.com/djphotocar...invicta_cb.jpg |

pic
that pic from tely tunes of the geezer must be
an early pic when he was on TV for a short while at the beginning of talk radio he was gross and as ugly as sin but he made compulsive radio I was there every night from 10 to 1 am Then he just suddenly disappeared from talk radio no explanation was given and his name was never mentioned again or if it was ......... whale and his 7 second delay cut it out. with streaming radio you d think he get on the net or with a show. There was another guy .... something Wiltshire I ve forgotten his first name (was it Norman ?) He had a show on satellite radio years ago what that guy did nt know about radio and satellite tv was nt worth knowing He was also I think a big fan of Radio Caroline But that show disappeared off satellite and like the geezer he was lost I saw him once as a guest salesman on QVC His modern equivalent is Percy Turtle on the Mendoza show Percy is like Wiltshire is a tech genius. and Mendoza is top guy on Talk Sport its a pity theres not a search engine somewhere for specialized radio eg tech or broadway musicals etc they must be out there its just finding the needle in the haystack ! |

Creamygoodness I remember that night, absolutely riveting and I used to listen as often as possible.
Do you remember the "guess the tune" competitions? There was one particular one went on for weeks and I missed the answer when it eventually must have been guessed LOL |

Most people in the south east are well aware of his past doings but many would still love to listen to him every night again regardless. The man is a fantastic broadcaster and will always be a household name in Kent. Rightly or wrongly. |

I remember the first night he wasn't there (it was a Monday I'm pretty sure) - Tommy Boyd did the show instead and didn't allow any calls through about Caesar for ages until one guy did get through and asked, where's Caesar? "I don't know, where is he," answered Tommy in a really wimpy voice. Isn't it true Caesar got Ian Collins his job on the station? He was certainly defending him big time when a lot of callers said Ian's shows were boring. I heard a few times Ian slagging Caesar off a few years after he'd gone (though without mentioning him by name, but it was obvious who he meant)Caesar on TRUK was Great (briefly)

caesar
Yes it still narks me now that Caesar was
chopped in his prime you r prob right tommy boyd was brought in temp to do the prog Ugh I can t stand that man and then Whale takes over the 3 hour spot and it seems like forever and hes almost as bad as Tommy Boyd. On the tv Caesar looked overweight and reminded me a bit of that Greek singer with the high voice that wears tent like dresses. I was about to write to caesar just before he was chopped suggesting a new music signature to his show............. Ill find my way home by Van Gellis......... another Greek guy........ they get everywhere ! it would have made an awesome start to his show Ah well, I suppose we re stuck with the Whale for the next 10 years and all his sleazy stringfellow type buddies come back Caesar all is forgiven You ask me where to begin Am I so lost in my sin You ask me where did I fall I’ll say I can’t tell you when But if my spirit is lost How will I find what is near Don’t question I’m not alone Somehow I’ll find my way home My sun shall rise in the east So shall my heart be at peace And if you’re asking me when I’ll say it starts at the end You know your will to be free Is matched with love secretly And talk will alter your prayer Somehow you’ll find you are there. Your friend is close by your side And speaks in far ancient tongue A seasons wish will come true All seasons begin with you One world we all come from One world we melt into one Just hold my hand and we’re there Somehow we’re going somewhere Somehow we’re going somewhere You ask me where to begin Am I so lost in my sin You ask me where did I fall I’ll say I can’t tell you when But if my spirit is strong I know it can’t be long No questions I’m not alone Somehow I’ll find my way home Somehow I’ll find my way home Somehow I’ll find my way home Somehow I’ll find my way home |
