Hi Caesar

Great website very informative, just notice a slight error in the early career page which says under Essex Radio, that you joined Essex Radio 96.3/102.6 FM, in actual fact you were on 96.3 FM whilst Leechy (John Leech) continued on 102.6 FM.

There's some great jingles on that new website of Caesar's I've just been delving through them and yer man has surely one of the best crops of them on the internet.

Looking forward to tomorrow's show but we're going out in the late afternoon and I somehow have to remember to record it after a session down there, sounds easy but it's not always is it.

Any mentions of another Elvis Hour for this weekend?, I've heard nothing, will tune into SFM in the morning to try and find out.

Keep the thread going people Caesar's worth it.

Show was going fantastically well until Caesar mentioned having eaten cat in the past. I'm sorry but after that revelation I will never tune in again.

Thought I'd re-post this from the Geezer's guestbook -

On one baking hot night of July 1992 around 1am I awoke to the unexpected sound of a chat show on KISS FM.
I kept dozing in and out of sleep as per usual, and although I was used to sleeping through heavy dance music,
this ruddy Geezer was keeping me awake!!
The topic was the UK Police force but it wasn't like BBC radio or even Panorama - it was raw, sawn-off, gut-level
truth & often hilarious.
I think that was your pilot show on KISS before you won the regular 4am-6am slot. From that day I was hooked
& sad to see you go in 94.
Then around May 1995 I'd had enough! I actually looked you up & called your nightclub on the Old Kent Road.
You were polite and down-to-earth and told me about your new show on Talk radio 1089.
Few months later they bloody sacked you, LOL!

Good to hear you on-air again

Here's the latest photo of the Geezer at SFM ... and it's a good one, plenty of character, lol:

Regarding 1st Bowl radio (Caesar's music station) I had what I reckon is a pretty strong idea.
Currently the bowlers (and not to mention the management) prefer continuous music for business reasons I'd gather.
How about if Caesar occasionally co-hosted that show with a Bowling expert/pundit? You'd need someone funny
& smart like Eric Hall, but from the Professional Bowling community. That way the Geezer could incorporate a bit more
chat, jokes & pro. advice/tips to the bowlers on-air nationwide. It would still be mainly music, but with more banter,
frolics & chat. It could even be a pre-recorded segment if that makes it more possible.
Hope this idea will be passed on to 1st Bowl management.

Let me know if you lot think this is a dumb or smart idea ...

Hi Caesar just wanted to say how much I used to enjoy your shows on talk radio UK. as a snotty-nosed 12 year old, your wind-ups and humour had me awake far too late at bording school.
absolute legend.

Another good show last night, I recorded the whole show including the 'Elvis Hour' and am in the process of transferring it onto my MP3 player with the others. I only actually heard about half of it live last night I kept hearing Caesar mention us here at Digital Spy thanks geezer that was very kind of you.

He mentioned more than once (Pete kept sidetracking him) he mentioned our Scottish friend who had been bad mouthing him, because of all the sidetracking I'm not sure if he ever managed to say what he started off wanting to say, I'll listen carefully when I listen again via the MP3 player.

I hope the Elvis Hour is every week from now on I really do, I know yer man has said it's difficult to put together but BOY it's well worth it I know that.

PS...
THAT Jesus on the cross gag was HORRENDOUS Caesar.

I'm the same as you I hadn't heard Caesar for donkeys years then I found him on SFM thanks to this thread a few weeks ago, I've caught up with the first shows I missed thanks to the great YouTube channel available on here where someone has kindly put all the shows so far. I've heard live the last two and I can vouch it's a great listen.
Please keep in mind Caesar's show starts at 9pm (BST) but there is a brilliant Elvis Hour' that starts at 8pm chaired by Caesar I strongly recommend listening to this show because it's so good.

Just on the Elvis Hour I recorded last Sunday nights but was very disappointed that I'd missed the one from about 3 weeks ago. Then a link for the highlights of it became available, the records were edited for copyright reasons down to a few seconds each but Caesar's bits and pieces in between the records obviously stayed. So yesterday I made a note of each record, downloaded them all and have edited in each record in full where the previous edited ones had been, so I've finally got me Elvis Hour from the 18th August and with the Geezer in between each record.
They are of course copyright protected so I won't be sharing it around it's simply just for myself this time.

EDIT:
Just checked the SFM schedules and the Elvis Hour is down for another belting hour next Sunday.

How many radio station presenters are bothered about giving you what you want?, talkSPORT the station I listen a fair bit to couldn't give a stuff about the listeners and what they want. On the other hand we have a presenter on this thread that does, he's made it plain on air he's not all that fussed about compiling the Presley hour because it takes some sorting out but he knows we like it so he's doing them for us.

I salute the man.

That's what made so many listeners identify & connect with Caesar as a presenter.
You can sense he loves to fulfil the listener yet not in a pompous, sad way.
Over the years I've noticed he has some kind of psychic empathic connection
to the audience.
It's the Geezer's motif. Critics don't realise that he can't just switch it off.

Can you remember the imaginary butler/servant he reckoned he had always by his side?, wish I could remember his name, can anyone else?, the guy always had me in stitches and was far too good for that station anyway.”

Hi Billy, I recall this Caesar chap on Talk Radio UK in the first couple of months back in early 1995 in the late evenings, but he didn't last much more than about 3 months wasn't it? When I first heard him I remember thinking he would be much better getting replaced by James Whale, and would you believe it that is exactly what happened and I was rather pleased with that outcome! I've heard soundings that James Whale might be going to the late evening slot on LBC sometime this autumn which would be excellent news, and far better than the early evening when he has to be less fierce. Whether it's going to happen is another matter but I hope so. I'd like to give this Caesar another listen just to remind myself of his style, because although it was a very brief interlude at Talk Radio UK over 17 years ago, I can just about remember.

To be honest it was a long time ago and although I did listen to his brief stint at the beginning, I cannot recall much about the show itself anymore, whereas James Whale's subsequent 13 years on late evenings are much more dominant in my mind. Not sure what a "shock jock" means in 2012 and whatever it was in 1995 I'm not sure translates to today.
