Hi Steve happy Christmas and New Year to you and your family too it's good to see you post on here again. I have a clip I would like you to listen to if you will it's from last Sunday night's SFM Elvis Hour with the irrepressible Caesar. I can only link the very beginning of the show and the very ending because of limit restraints on Audioboo but I think you will understand why I was so chuffed.

That's great Peter. The big fella is all heart! Your own dedicated show! He's still DJing to the bowling centres as well, up and down the country. The usual shout crew share our words of wisdom? - every now and then lol. Join us and Caesar on a Friday or Saturday night if you can m8. A few of us do our own shows during the week on my radio website which Im also proud to stream the Geezers shows. And its great to hear him with the Elvis hour on SFM and that this Station is still going strong. All a little way short of National Radio where many would love him to return!

More great shows lately Caesar if your reading thank you, remember this sound clip you used to play? (see link to right) I've slightly edited out a little in the middle because it related to an old show. Click ---> http://bit.ly/L5WgZZ

I'd love to know how many listen on Sunday nights, hopefully plenty out there, people if you liked Elvis Presley and you like to hear a damn good broadcaster who's not all bull$hit like so many tune into SFM Radio for Sittingbourne by listening online at this following URL he's on at 9.00pm to 10.00pm every Sunday night and it's well worth hearing.

To listen on Sunday nights at 9.00pm click the link below, after it's loaded click again on "Listen Live" top right of screen and your there listening it's that easy.

Anyway good to hear you are still enjoying Caesar's Sunday efforts, have to confess I have missed a few but will try harder. I'm gonna mention your link otherwise Caesar might not see it for a while! Cheers Peter

Hi Dave great to hear from you again thank you if you managed to give Caesar a nod but as I've already admitted earlier I unashamedly asked Caezer myself if he could sometime in the future. If I was lucky I was hoping for a quick mention but what happened was he did a full one hour dedication show and I was gobsmacked completely.

Caesar is now also broadcasting to the MFA bowling centres up and down the country on Saturday & Sundays midday till 4pm via internet stream. His show consists of the usual upto date mashups but with tracks from the several decades - yes even an Elvis track may be heard! These are request shows so you request songs and get a mention on the radio. You can still chat to Caesar and friends on the shout box. The shows are more family friendly with birthday mentions and happy birthday jingles. Although not a phone in show you can Skype your requests to him as well. The stream and shout box can be found under listen live button on his website.

Well the show all started off a bit strange tonight when straight after the 9.00pm news they started playing records other than Elvis, at first I was going to stop my recording but left it running anyway while I had some work to finish outside in the garage. On returning back at 9.40 I could hear the tones of Elvis bellowing out as I entered back into the house so whatever happened at the beginning of the show I have no idea but Caesar's Elvis Hour had been aired thankfully as usual.

And what a show it was tonight (that's the main reason I'm commenting) the entire track selection tonight was a belter in my view, some right old rockers and some great slower ones, but all classics and I thoroughly enjoyed this show as I've played it back since.

On minors things I still can't work out what happened at the beginning, did they play the wrong tape? (or disc) all these Elvis hours are pre-recorded as most listeners will know and I hope the introduction tonight of TWO commercial breaks was a one-off thing, I think they used to have two in the past but it's been really cool just having the one although it's no real problem for me personally as I edit them all out anyway.

If your reading big fella nice one on a fabulous selection and show tonight.

Another repeat recording last Sunday night hoping it's back to normal tonight.

One of my favourite old shows from when Caesar was on Talk Radio UK was the no smoking protest show when he did the show from out on the streets I always thought that show was amusing and never forgot it even though it was all that way back in 1995.

Then a few weeks ago someone shared the old recording of it with me the whole four hours and here's a little taster for anyone who remembers it and would like to hear it again, it's the first hour in six continuing parts minus the ad breaks.

I will be uploading the first two 10 minute parts of the second hour in a few days when certain things are explained about this show that I am not going to give away right here in case any people want to hear it that never heard it originally.

If you like Caesar you should enjoy it, I certainly did.

Would love this thread to take off again because Caesar deserves it, anyone in the dark about what the Geezer's up to these days I don't know very much except that he's on SFM Radio for Sittingbourne which is available live through the internet where he does his weekly Elvis Presley Hour 9pm-10pm, it's always a banging show I can promise. (SFM Radio click on 'Listen Live' top right of screen on the website once in)

Yet another old repeat last Sunday night of Caesar's SFM Elvis Hour this one from 19th May 2013 wish they'd say something on the website beforehand so the loyal listeners know what's going off. It's not the Geezer's fault at all I understand that (he records the shows beforehand for anyone that doesn't know and then has to trust SFM Radio to put them out right) it's SFM at fault because they couldn't give a monkeys cuss I know this cos I've written to them more than once on the subject and don't even get a reply back ever.

That website of theirs is a total shambles.

The Elvis Presley Hour:

The last 3 weeks running the SFM Radio for Sittingbourne Elvis Presley Hour has been old repeats with not one word of explanation as far as I know because I don't tune into SFM Radio much only to hear the Caesar show but I do check their website and there's certainly been nothing written on there with regard to it not being on maybe they think they're fooling people playing old repeats but the real fans of this show will not be fooled they will know they are repeats and it's a poor deal.

I've emailed them as usual about it and as usual they've ignored me I'm starting to think the people running SFM Radio are the pits the way they never add anything on their website about changes and the way they ignore listeners emails.

Naturally this has nothing to do with Caesar letting anyone down the guy may be unwell again and his health comes first every time obviously but for heaven's sake SFM and Peter Flynn in particular get your act together or start losing listeners.

Hi Peter
Sorry to hear you are not getting any joy by emailing SFM. Im guessing that Caesar isn't recording any shows at the moment and that's why all the repeats. Caesar is well and at the top of his game albeit presenting a more modern show to the MFA Bowling Centres up and down the UK with upto date mashups and mixes. Occasionally playing the odd track for us older generation Geezers. Yes wouldn't we love him to do a phone in show again! He still has a shout box in which to chat to Caesar and friends. You can now add characters which I know you was having trouble with before. A lot easier now though to type. For his live shows go to his website as mentioned in previous posts. I stream his show as well on my station stream which enables a multiplatform way of listening Esther it be iPlayer, android, or windows. A couple of us do our own shows on there with music probably more to your taste Peter lol. Again with our own shout boxes. Your always in good company as we all share a passion for the Boogieman and what he brings to radio. I know its annoying not being heard but keep listening to SFM as well as again for what they stand for local radio for local people. Come on Mr Flynn reply to the Peter. Too many national radio stations output is covered by so called celebs these days who have nothing in common with a true radio DJ. Caesar himself started in radio and is still in radio. We won't mention the adult tv presenting and the dartboard throwing tv phone in pilot on bbc2 all those years ago if you happened to see it lol. Find out more again about our shows by going to Caesars web page and find the shout box. You will find me as well as other dedicated Geezers on the shout box.
Best Regards
Big Steve

Hiya Steve,
I will get around to visiting Caesar's website again sometime it'll be fun to meet up again with you and the old regs (and I don't mean old as in age I'm sure you'll know that) but don't know when it'll be. I've now stopped listening to SFM Radio in disgust at them not having the common courtesy to reply once to all of my emails to them, in my view that place is very badly run by the people in charge especially that guy in charge. I do not hold Caesar responsible for anything it's that radio station that just can't be @r$ed replying to one of their listeners so to hell with them. (although I did also write a personal email to Caesar asking him what was happening to the Elvis hour and he didn't reply either but to be fair I don't think he ever checks his Hotmail accounts)

I know all they've been playing for weeks is unannounced old repeats of the Elvis hour but repeats without prior notice to me is useless so I've now given up listening and recording them altogether but at least I have my 76 recorded full Elvis shows forever and all the 'Empire of Fun' chat shows so I'm happy.

I'm not unhappy with Caesar in any way I think the guy's a radio great, it's flipping SFM I'm rankled with so they've now lost one northern listener.

Hope you are keeping well mate and I'm sorry I've taken so long to reply I have been meaning to reply back but just kept leaving it for another day, tonight I decided to get on with it and hope you didn't mind the delay.

I know we've both said this before a few times but it's perfectly true init, how can there be so many rubbish presenters on the radio today and here we have Caesar a flipping legend not on anything?.

Mystery to me.

Bye for now mate and thanks for writing.

Peter.

That's such a shame regarding your lack of response from SFM. Pete Flynn worked so hard in putting it all together. Wonder if you may have had a better response if you'd facebooked a message. But there's only so much you can do. I respect your decision.

Radioviewer
Would love to think that hes just waiting for the right time to return with his talk show.

If you didn't know James Whale is now doing the breakfast show on BBC Essex. A show with topical discussion and debate about local issues to Essex. If you want to you can listen via the internet if unable to pickup the FM signal.
Funny you talking about Mars and the comets I remember a very funny windup on Invicta FM where Caesar was telling everyone that a meteor was going to hit into the moon at midnight or something like that and that there was nothing to be afraid of and you could watch this happen if you all went outside and sat in a deck chair waiting for this to happen not forgetting to put sunglasses on to protect your eyes. The Invicta Radio shows the best shows by far for me.

Again you can tune in and chat Live to Caesar & friends at the weekends whenever he does a live show - check his website for further details http://www.caesarthegeezer.co.uk.

Caesar couldn't stick to one show a week on Bedroom FM, I get the impression he lacks "commitment" for the long haul.

Cheers for replying Steve the big problem for me was I'm not always there to catch the Elvis hour when it's on so it means setting up the downloading software early before the show to record it, that's alright if there's a proper show coming on but when you get repeats its then all been a complete waste of time and effort and not to forget also having to research back through a previous already recorded 76 editions to actually check if it is a repeat or not because you've no chance of remembering back so many shows in your head, in the end I just got sick of it doing all this.

If they had been willing to put just a brief mention whenever Caesar's show wasn't on (instead of listing it as always on as normal) that would have made things so much easier, I wrote several times as you know Steve asking if this was possible but they never answered once and to be honest that really pi$$ed me off with them.

I thought it was a fantastic show, I am not an Elvis nut by any means but I have always like him and his music a lot, sadly it looks to me like the show has ran its course and will be no more.

Ladies & Gentlemen Elvis has left the building.

Well I think it's probably true he's never really stuck for too long to anywhere although I'll admit I lost track of him for many years after leaving talkSPORT so maybe I'm talking b011ick$ i think Big Steve may be able to put me right here if i'm wrong.
Maybe Caesar has just never been lucky enough during his career to find THAT job in his life where everything was right and it totally fulfilled him [how many of us do?] so it's been one move after another in search of it.

When James replaced Caesar at Talk Radio UK I was gutted for a good year or two like I know were so many others as well, the Geezer's show was so damn good it was almost unbelievably good and I absolutely loved it.

I did still listen the Whale show for many years in fact but I like a lot of comedy in my radio shows and Whaley's just didn't have it.

PS...
By the way it's great to see the originator of this thread back posting on it, ... genuinely hope it can continue.

Well new to this thread... For me Caeser the geezer on Talkradio was the first time I ever turned off my TV set for a radio program, nothing but great listening for me, I remember after he left TR he ended up on some porn X TV channel (some kinda presenter). I also remember some trouble about Meteorites hitting the earth story he put out on TR,did he get sacked for that...?

Anyway great broadcaster and one of my favorites of all time.

He is a great broadcaster Harry and it's such a shame he's no longer on national radio where the big audiences he deserves are listening.
Let's resuscitate this thread Caesar deserves it at the very least, I have a few clips of Caesar I can share and one whole classic show from his Talk Radio UK days that one being the smoking protest show where he did the show from the street which is always worth hearing again.

Some prisons have their own limited radio station.

I wonder what is wrong with Caeser although would anyone be able to mention if he was off due to being away somewhere such as prison?, please do not think I am getting at him but as he not spent time in jail over the years such as when he left Invicta and or Capital Gold?.

Having said that from his picture on stations websites he looks like a fairly well built man and how old is he?, I wonder if he is unwell at the moment and as for Pete Flynn I wonder if Pete and Caeser have fallen out as both of them worked at RTM/Millennium FM in the late 90s.

Caeser became breakfast host around 1997/8 with Pete Flynn as Brutus and Busty or rather it was the other way round[Busty and Brutus] taking over around 1999, I'm not sure who Busty was as in real name but is she still working now as when they both presented the breakfast show on Millennium FM I saw them at Danson Park in Welling when the Danson show was on in 1999 and thought they were both good.

I'm not sure who else listened but in 1999 Busty and Brutus on one show had a competition to win two tickets to see Jools Holland at the Royal Navel College in Greenwich for which you had to ring in with your favourite joke and if it got the biggest laugh you was the winner, it was my Dad who came up with the winning joke and he purchased another ticket and him, my Mum and myself all went and enjoyed the night.

Anyway if you are reading this Caeser please tell us what is happening as so many of us want to hear you again soon, and no disrespect meant in what I have said in anyway.

I was trying to contact Caesar to get him to make....

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VosFiY1SifA

the theme for his 10pm to 1 am weekday show.... but before I could get through the Whale had taken over that prime, night time spot .

We re stuffed for radio in the UK... its all so politically correct ... the media totally controlled !
Probably computor controlled too !

Caesar was touching on Muslim issues that were beginning to surface back then as we began to slide into endless Mid East wars... Pity the Geezer did nt make it to 9:11 his shows would have been full of speculation about who did it.

These days I tend to go onto the internet for audio theres lots of alternative radio... mainly US and tons of podcast stuff if you know just where to look.

Caesar was cut off in his prime... the sleazey Whale took over with his sleazy banter to his deadleg sidekick Ash .....
after the brilliant Caesar.. with his voice booming through the speakers.. and his antics and wind ups .....sleazeball Whale was a big downer.

Ah well... onward and upward ... at least we ve got the Internet to escape too... pre internet we were
locked into the UK and terrestrial broadcasting....
now the whole world is our digital hunting ground !

Caesar never was in prison anyway was he?, he was charged with fraud but strenuously denied it all throughout the court case, some monies from a charity strayed into one of his various bank accounts that he says he didn't even know about at the time, the court found him guilty but I can't remember the exact sentence he was given.

After the case was over he was still denying any known involvement and appealed the decision, the court subsequently overturned the conviction and he walked away totally innocent.

Sadly mud always sticks and people quite innocently come on message boards and imply he's some kind of Ronnie Biggs, it's the same with his career people think he's been sacked from every job he's had when in fact he's been fired just once in his whole life and that was from Talk Radio UK where he carried the can for the station thinking they could start up a radio station being totally controversial, use raunchy language and talk about things that just can't be talked about on radio, he even TOLD THEM it wouldn't work before he started the job but amazingly they still fired him and upset tens of thousands of listeners who loved his show.

Ooooh I feel better now.
