That was his one-off program on late night BBC 2 on a Friday in around 1993. It was awhile after he was sacked from Invicta and I think he might have still been working at Radio Essex at the time. There's a clip from it, up on YouTube. I think Danny Baker makes a surprise appearance in it.

the Whale.... who took over from the great Caesar...
is back on talk radio .... !

why isnt Caesar making a comeback ???

but , listening to my old tapes, I just hit on about a 30 min recording of the Whale with his big mate Berni Manning .... all done at Bernie s club in Manchester.......
if I get it onto the comp and into media fire...
Ill post a link here

But Caesar was the main man .... he was there ... as large as life on national radio... then suddenly gone....
now all these years have gone by..... kind of feels like a lot of wasted talent
Pity Caesar did nt get his act together in all those years !

Yes. The Caesar show on BBC Radio Norfolk.
The poster Fish and Chips was referring to James Whale being on both BBC Essex (breakfast) and BBC Radio Kent (weekends) until this summer.

He meant back on 'Talk Radio' the station, as opposed to talk radio in general.

The headhunters at the Wireless Group like to employ the criminal element, it gives them that edge, so his CV complete with prison sentence should push the door a little.

He was cleared after 5 months on the bankruptcy charge, but also breached his suspended sentence of 4 years earlier for obtaining property by deception.

Probably because he isn't on it. Certainly not regularly and probably not at all. Geezer fans living in fantasy land I think. Radio Norfolk schedules are available via the Beebe site.

No, he got sacked from talkradio because they didn't like him getting a job presenting on a satellite porn channel.

THAT was my theory but I think someone posted that he did nt do the porn stuff till after he was sacked from talk radio

It shows he was a loose canon though, as a potential national radio personality he should never have gone on a late night porn channel... thats just sleazy

The guy had a great voice... he was funny.... he was great with callers....
he had a great gig... 10 till 1 am.... he d even call into ian collins at around 2 pm from a MacDonalds where he was stuffing his face with a big mac ....! he was hilarious....

Talk Sport was the first time I d heard the guy but apparantly he was well known on the London air waves and had a big following .

That's incorrect,
When Caesar first joined Talk Radio UK they specifically told him to be bold and outrageous they wanted that to be the new station's policy and so against his own better judgement he did this.
When the listening figures proved bad they blamed their two most bold and outrageous presenters for it [Terry Christian and Caesar] - and sacked the pair of them together.

Here's the Geezer himself explaining it ....

Just thinking if the Geezer had survived till the 9 11
disaster..... there would have been endless conspiracy shows.... interviews .... theories... every week day night 10 to 1 am

The Geezer was big into the internet even back then in 1992 when the rest of us were into video recorders ... and maybe satellite TV
