I m still miffed that Caesar was shafted
from Talk Sport
( or talk radio as it was then)

(Reading between the lines, maybe the real
reason for his departure was that he
was moonlighting for Television X and the
Porn industry at the time)

Caesar was always over the top

His 10 to 1 am show was atomic
he was very popular at that time

But he was shafted by the top management and
that cretin James Whale was imposed upon
us

In fact, I ve virtually given up Talk Sport
completely now wot with big head and mega ego Galloway muscling in for 3 nights a week now ugh, I can t stand it

Bring back the Geezer !!!

No Mate the text is very close together, there ain't much reading space between the lines. All the reasons for his various departures are in this thread.

Whatever your opinion of him as a broadcaster he is generally regarded as being a bit of a wide boy (at best)!

Early Talk Radio UK and 'popular' isn't a well known concept.

I think its fair to say he will never ever appear on a national station again because of his previous.............And he did forever churn up the same stuff over and over again

OK he might have blown his potentioal
for national radio

But if he was on local or regional radio
his show could be streamed on the net

Or even pod cast somewhere

it seems crazy that a popular radio broadcaster
like Geezer was on the national air waves
one minute, then suddenly he disappears
..... into thin air !!!

Well, if you're reading this then Chris, not everybody worships you.

Some of us think that you're an arse - personally and professionally.

I wish you well, but hope you never return to the airwaves.

That was a major problem for me, I did enjoy his early Talk Radio shows at the time (I was about 17) but then they turned into some sort of problem phone-in full of apparently almost suicidal people ringing in to speak to him convinced he had some sort of physic magical powers (despite him telling them that he didn't). That sort of thing is ok once in a while and most lat night phone-in presenters get such a call very occasionally but when it's 3 hours a night every night it's not only a bit suspicious, it's also a turn off.

After Talk he went onto Capital Gold and he was doing exactly the same material as the early days of Talk. He only has one act and it's very quickly exhausted

Did he rush to rescue the woman commiting suicide in the phone box - again?
And he left Capital Gold to die of cancer but in reality left to spend a few months at Her Majesty's Pleasure.

Isn't he now running a Subway sandwich thing in North London? Best place for him, keep him away from the radio.

That's the funniest thing I've heard in ages! Nobody in national radio would touch him with a barge pole!

I haven't spoken to him for a number of years but in my experience he's not the "nice guy" he comes across as on the radio.

I remember that, years later, Ian Collins said something along the lines of this, without ever mentioning any names...

"This man was totally and utterly stupid. He couldn't name the leader of the opposition, or the chancellor of the exchequer. But half an hour before his show even started, the phone lines were all jammed."

But yes, a very dodgy past and as popular as his show became with some, it was turgid and repetitive.

Well collins might have thought Caesar wasn't that bright,
but collins himself is no Einstein, and at least Caesar was entertaining.
Which is more than can be said for collins!

I think that LBC's Iain Lee has stolen Caesar's crown. Although even his show is starting to lose it's appeal.

I don't know how you can ever compare the two.

Absolutely leagues apart in Iain's favour

I've also heard him say about how dodgy a 'former colleague' was and how he was blatantly 'on the take'.

I thought Caesar was awesome whenever I listened to him

Firstly on Invicta Radio which I picked up by chance despite living over 100 miles from the transmitter

Then in his heyday on TalkRadio with paticular memories being that suicidal caller and Eric Hall - football agent being on the show. Also him calling everyone a schmuck.

After that and his last big radio show on Capital Gold, which I couldnt pick up very well. Sadly after that just a couple of local London stations, latest the SFM for Swale one.

As well as his appearance on BrassEye I most remember his TV career for the Rude Arena when Lynn Perrie (who was Ivy Tillsley on Corrie) giving a stripper a blow job (She'd been sacked from Corrie after having her lips enchanced)

It must be 10 years now since
the Geezer was at talk sport

He was atomic with a voice so loud
he almost did nt need radio, he could have just opened the window.

I felt he gave lots of thought and
preparation to his 3 hour stints
whereas whale just blaggs his way
through with enless repartee to taxi drivers and endless comments from his
deadpan sidekick.

anyway, I ve given up on the station
with its mega egos like whale and gallaway.

I don t understand the Geezer, he had a huge following at Talk sport and from his previous radio incarnations..... yet he just disappeared from view.
If I was someone like him ( I know he was on the web at that time }

I would have continued some kind of show on the web... a kind of pod cast.
He could have had guests in or on the phone and put together an hour or two hour a day show.
He could have been part of an alternative media in the UK
The alternative media in the US is massive. People are beginning to see thru creeps like Hannity and O Reilly with his all spin zone.

The alternative media in the US is massive, its all over the web
where is the equivalent in the UK ?
Just David Iycke putting out a new book each year about shape shifting reptiles.... we are pathetic
