Help! I've killed my Samsung!
Mr Pringle

Well, looks like I won't be sitting in the bath anymore texting. I've managed to kill my phone (which I believe is a Samsung E300? It's a flip-phone anyway).

The screen works fine, and it'll turn on using the 'on' key on the keypad. But the rest of the keys don't work.. pressing any key just brings up a single hash (#).

I reckon that I've shorted the circuitary of the keypad with water - I've tried taking the hair dryer to it, but still nothing.

Any suggestions? I think it's pretty dead.

Mobile phone Murder!

You are not meant to bring phones in the bath anyway and you are lucky that you didn't get a shock.

did you take the battery out straight away?? water kills phones!!, if you get water in it, remove the battery, dry the phone properly. If you power it up after it has been in water and its not dried, it fries the board.

Meh, it wouldn't do me a whole lot of damage - I've had worse. I'm sure it'd short-out before it fries me.

24 hours later it came back to life. I'm pretty sure the keypad had been shorted and now that it's dried out it's fine.
