I am not homophobic I have no problems with gays nor do I have a problems with gay charactors on TV but I felt the gay kiss in Emmerdale went too far.

I admit it didn't appeal terribly to me but male/female kissing and things in soap are quite often worst. I felt it was a realistic portrayl of their emotions. They probably knew some people would be offended or uncomfortable, but they wanted the relationship to be believable.

Emmerdale is like Brookside. It never shies away from real life.

Obviously you have laces of homophobia in you to complain about it

Which kiss are you moaning about in particular? We've seen about 4 so far, I'm happy to say.

You clearly DO have a problem with it or you wouldn't complain about it.
Most homophobes who don't want to be labelled homophobes, do tend to start a sentence ...'I'm NOT a homobhobe ... BUT ...' !

Emmerdale deserve the highest praise. They are treating Paul and Ivan as a couple getting together, what sex they are is irrelevent. And like all couples getting together - they kiss now and then.

And I hope they carry on kissing!

I find that stuff very funny, it's like saying "no offence" before insulting someone.

If your offended theres this button on your remote that can turn it off.....

I am actually pleased that Emmerdale is not backing away from showing the kissing. I love the whole storyline at the moment.

I have to laugh at all these people who say "Kids might be watching"

Well yes, kids also watch the news and I'm sure a lot of them, like my own, asked why there was bombs going off in London on July 7th last year. Did I have the heart to say to my little one, "Well darling, there are a lot of bad men who like to place bombs in random places or fly planes into buildings."

Kids see far worse on TV than two men or two women kissing.

I also think the storyline holds extra weight in that the couple are living in a small village where a lot of homophobes may reside, or at least old fashioned views.

Couldn't agree more. They're being a lot 'braver' than Corrie were with Todd and Karl. They even cut a kiss when they were literally about to kiss! In other words they showed them about to kiss but cut away before their lips met! Pathetic. Glad to see Emmerdale are so far treating Paul and Ivan like any normal couple - cos that's what they are.

I have no problem with Paul and Ivan kissing. Paul's a great addition to Emmerdale and is one of my favourite characters.

After watching an interview with the actors themselves, saying it was uncomfortable for them to do it, as they're friends in real life..
