the Daily Express reported on 30 December that Grant Mitchell is set to leave EastEnders. The paper says that Ross Kemp would be happy for his alter ego to be killed off if the storyline justified it.

So grant wants to be killed off?

No Ross Kemp does. I cant see them doing it although perhaps its a way for his family to stay in the show.

yeah...I dont think eastenders will kill him off, but anyway a couple of months ago, it had an interview with him in the mirror newspaper and he was saying that he "was so happy to be back at eastenders!" ...

I don't think they'll kill him off (that would be a BIG mistake), I just think he and Carla will split and she will stay in the Square or something like that..

he maybe feels his image has been compromised by his ... eh.. charming wife...

It's more likely they'll coincide either the end of his next stint - or perhaps a following stint (if he committs to another comeback later in the year) with the return of Sharon after her extended break.

Killing him off would be a waste of money - considering how much the BBC are paying him to come and work for them. They're obviously trying to invest into the character and build it up so he will stay a while longer.

I think his latest return in the spring will lead to the exit of Johnny allen and the return of Phil after his panto break!

I hope they dont kill off grant that will make me very unhappy indeedy
