Why does Johnny Allen hate Dennis?
Sorry if this has been discussed before, I've been away.
What did Dennis do to make Johnny so mad he wanted him dead? I know Johnny gave him a chance to go away instead of being killed because Sharon told him she's pregnant but I don't remember what happened to make Johnny take out a hit on Dennis. |

Dennis called him a loser and humilated him at his and Sharon's party when Johnny was thrown on the floor by Stacey in an argument with juley. Johnny didn't like that Dennis was interfering in his affairs and told Sharon to keep Dennis away from him. But of course Dennis didn't get the message and is now dead meat. That shows you don't mess with the great Johnny Allen

I think it was all blown up a bit much, to be honest. They needed to write Dennis out, so created a rather artificial situation - even Johnny wouldn't normally have over-reacted to that degree.

I Agree with all of you.
I also think he was fed up of being treated like crap and wanted to show what he was made of.So since Dennis was an interfearing piece of poop and beat him up,it was a perfect chance. and he is the great Johnny Allen.. |

Hmmm...didn't Dennis say something to Phil about falling through ice when he was a kid?
Stacey skated on it, I recall. Stacey Slater Ice Skater. One could interpret the ice as being Johnny. |

Don't forget the incident in the park where Dennis said to Johnny "You're losing it" or something like that and JA replied "We'll see about that".

i myself was also confused by it all, but i think it was cos every time jonny was rude to juley dennis seemed to be there to stand up for the 2 of them, being the lovely guy he was.
They shouldnt have killed him off! i know i should know this, but whens the funeral?? |

Yes, itwas really annoying form that point of view, Dennis winds Johnny up one day, Johnny wants him dead the next. I would think Johnny had many more people to tick off of his deathlist ahead of Dennis. |

Similar to the story of the man who had a bad day at work so he went home and kicked the dog. |

I think that the business with Phil & Grant pissed Johnny off (backing down for Ruby) & trying to be 'normal' so when Dennis started standing up to him over Juley he felt that he had to show who was still the main man.
But I agree it all has been something over nothing where Dennis is concerned, my hubbie asked me on monday "why didnt Johnny kill Phill instead, hes done more to piss him off?" The answer was simple, Steve McFadden wasnt leaving, Nigel Harman was. The writers could have done more/make a better job of Dennis' death. |
