the eastenders questions thread
Hi guys i have a few questions which i've always wanted answers to about somethings to do with the show and its characters and i just thought why not make a thread for people to post their questions in to save any more topic space and let the eastenders gurus on here answer them. I have two questions at the moment:
what happened to Johnnys 'barmaid' or whatever she is at the club that ruby cought him snogging? and is it true that when eastenders first started, a lot of the sets were made out of papya mashay and other stuff (parden my grammar). I'm sure i heard somewhere that because it was just a try out few episodes to start? |

Amy the barmaid was played by Nina Fry and was last seen not that long ago, I think she still works at the club.
I'm not sure about the sets, I can't imagine them being built out of paper mache for a few try out episodes though because they would have had to go to the hassle of rebuilding them all and keeping them exactly the same. |

Why does the program not have Asian etc families. A true representation of the Eastend would include a large proportion of Asians

I haven't got a question about the programme or the characters but I thought it would be a good idea that with the amount of threads and postings, EE would have it's own category rather than be part of Soap and Dramas ... any chance, do you think?

I am not sure what it is hold up with but it is not real brick, just proberly wood and than the 'bricks' are painted onto the wood. The houses are real just with nothing in them and were built like that i am pretty sure.

That photo is what i mean, the wall bit as you walk in is brick and i think it will be pretty unsafe if it isnt all brick.. Only the side pats (end of houses) are sometimes made up by just wood like it is on the side of Pauline's house. |

What makes me wonder is the Slaters ages.
A few years back Charlie had his 60th in the Vic. I know Kat is around 35. But is she the oldest?? Charlies wife must have been younger than him ,but if she were alive would have to be at least 55?? So how old does that make Big Mo, she must be at least 75!! Doesn't really add up does it. |
