E'dale: Wonderful without Sadie
It's only been a couple of episodes but it feels good to tune into Emmerdale these days and not have to suffer the dreadful acting of Patsy Kensit.

I agree.
Her frozen facial features were truly terrible to behold. |

I place all the blame for her on the new Corrie producer Steve Frost.
It was Steve's idea to give this woman airtime. |

I agree, even the Kings didn't annoy me as much as usual since she went.

Exceptionally wonderful - the King family work so much better without her.

Sadly we all know what's coming...but then we also know she's leaving for good soon enough
There are a few times when I've thought Patsy was okay, but this was more due to the script - most of the time she is wooden, expressionless, no power in her line delivery etc. Kath Beedles should see this as an opportunity to bring in a super-bitch who the public can actually warm to. She has mostly done well with new characters, so I have some faith in her. |

Given all the above, and I'm no fan, how do you all explain Kath Beedles apparent desperation to hold on to her, and the annoyance of her going to the Beeb (and for that matter the Beeb's anxiosness to sign her)?
Either we are way out of touch with the general viewer or the highly paid producers are, which is it?

Patsy has simply used Emmerdale to get herself seen again. She had no intention of staying longer than 18 months. She thinks the show is not fashionable enough and regarding her salary, I imagine most of the cast are pleased Princess Pissy Pants is leaving

I for one miss her. I enjoyed the role. Yes I'll be in the minority, but I don't really care. Do you know if your above post is accurate, regarding Patsy using Emmerdale? Or do you have any quotes from cast regarding her exit? If so please post. I do know she is leaving for Holby, hardly a glamorous step. I doubt your imagination reflects the casts feelings regarding money. Then again what do I know!! Princess Pissy Pants! lol Where did that come from! - Steph |

I will miss her aswell. Her exit storyline should be a good one. She hasnt 'used' Emmerdale at all. She allways states that she is grateful to the show as more people know her now.
And i am sure that the cast are glas 'princess Patsy is going.' |

I've always been a great admirer of Patsy Kensit. I miss her.
Those who complain about her better be good at acting themselves before they dish the dirt. |

People are entitled to criticise someones acting skills if the person is well known.

Also, what is the relevance of the acting skills of the viewing public? I am not a skilled politician, so does that mean I have less reason to complain if a local MP is not doing a job that satisfies me?

My 6 year old is more convincing in her school plays than Patsy Kensit is.

My nephew was fantastic in his school nativity, playing a sheep! Whats the point of comparing PK to your child? There all great! If your going to compare Patsy use an established actress. I'm not saying she is the best, but there are are a darn lot worse!! - Steph |
