Is the 530H supposed to be able to play Divx?

The Pioneer website makes no reference to DivX (but then again they don't tell you it will play +R's) but Pixmania and a couple of other sites seem to think it does. Have copied a DivX film off my PC as an experiment but it won't play. Not sure If it's the disk at fault or the sites that are wrong..

Hmm, oh well. Shame really. Still, just bought a multi region disc off eBay for a fiver and have managed to get most of the remote functions onto my Kameleon so still a happy bunny.

Guideplus finally populated last night. Bit surprised that it only shows 1hr at a time.. in bloody 4:3 mode too. Still got to get to the bottom of that.

Yes I'm also slightly perplexed about why all the menus, disc navigator and EPG are in 4:3 mode when I've specifially told the machine that I have a 16:9 TV!

A minor gripe though I guess...

More concerned that I didn't realise I needed my eyes testing until I tried to read the GuidePlus in 4:3 . Would be good If you could re-arrange the channels to match Sky ie. 101-999 as I keep getting lost with the new system.

Of more concern is a couple of the videos I have copied onto the HDD keep flipping from 16:9 to 4:3 (every 5-15 secs). Can't be good for my TV which swaps between the two modes with a click. Would be good If you could lock the Pioneer into one mode as you say. There's also several programs on Sky which come up as 4:3 too which is a pain.

Here's a question. Do Pioneer do software updates for their hardware. If so how do we have input into the process?

Areas for improvement I've found so far (only had it 3 days!)
No Divx
Cannot edit the categories or pictures in genre
Cannot combine recordings (the record/stop buttons are v.close to the TV off button)
Home & Guideplus are in 4:3
