no matter how many times I push the record button I don't get the 30,60,90 etc minutes displayed anywhere (screen or recorder display) as is described in the manual. am I doing something wrong. I am not using timed or flexible recording. I am using -RW on a ES20D. I would like to be able to start a recording for 30 or 60 mins etc when something good comes on.

Any help appreciated.

Are you pressing record on the recorder?
It works on the recorder but not on the remote control

thanks, that was the problem - bit daft it doesn't work from the remote though.
