It's not gorrilla, but it is a type of monkey. I am not help, I can't remember the name, but someone posted a picture on here yesterday I think.

Whatever it is, it is a rather beautiful coat.

Isn't having anything from a gorilla illegal, being killing gorillas is illegal, just like buying ivory is?”

That's why I reckon it's a vintage fur. I also think it's genuine since I had a look at some photos and it seems similar to real ones.

It's stunning, if it was given to you as a gift GG, would you wear it?

Pete has already spent a fortune to mutilate himself in the pursuit of what he sees as beauty. I really don't think anyone prepared to go to those lengths will care where their coat came from, as long as they think they look good in it.

Like I said before - he's a shallow person.

I'm not a very stylish person cindy so it would bizarre on me with the rest of my 'ordinary' clothes, and I'd not have the nerve. (I'd certainly try it on in private though)

I mentioned it earlier that it kinda reminds me of one of them small monkeys..I think they might be Lima or leema monkeys??? they have white hair on its head that looks a bit like a wig... but i'm still a bit confused as it looks fake to me...

What i love about Pete, is his complete honesty, regarding his surgery etc. That to me does not equal shallowness.

He said it was a colobus monkey, they are black and white.

Makes me think he was definitely taking the pee. They were never used for full fur coats and their biggest threat is from deforestation and not furriers! Just trying to be helpful here

I like that as well. I also loved the fact he didn't say wearing the coat was right. He questioned the others if they wore leather and asked what was the difference. Then later he even said, "I don't know where I stand with the whole fur thing, I haven't given it enough thought yet..."

Well Cows are not on the brink of extinction.

That comment is based on if its true the coat is from a Gorilla.

Have a look at how the animals are treated and kept in fur farms, more than not the suffering is horrific, that’s the main reason so many people have a problem with it.

I thought it was interesting how Dennis has been part of campaigns for PETA but admitted, "I don't really care, I don't have a problem with the coat".

He's also got a shallow mind. I'm not saying he's not a bad person, I'm not even saying he's stupid - I'm just saying that he's got a blind spot when it comes to his own vanity.

Of course he's open about his plastic surgery - it would be a little bit hard to deny it after all and it's his own business if he wants to have that surgery.

Fur's different though. If you openly wear it then you're openly saying the fur trade's alright but he's dodging around the issue by saying it was a present and I don't for one moment believe that a man of his age has never had time to give a few moments of thought about the fur trade.

He knew exactly what he was doing when he took the coat into the house - it was deliberate provocation and I don't like that either. It'll be interesting to see if he tries to start any other trouble while he's in there.

They are lovely animals

Now take half an hour and go read how animals are skinned for their fur while they're still alive, how they're treated on fur farms and even how the latest trend is to steal dogs and use them for cheap fur instead.

Maybe you'll understand why Pete's coat is so distasteful to so many people then.

Actually I think Dennis meant it wasn't worth getting into a row about a coat - and I'd agree with him on that. Rula handled it best, saying she didn't like it and leaving it at that.

Mind you I'm far from a fan of PETA and their policies.
