Kate will win because more people like her than like any of the other housemates.

To describe her as dull is palpable nonsense, she could only possibly be considered "dull" in comparison to Alex and Jade who are both extraordinary (and perhaps slightly unbalanced?) characters.
”

totally agree with that... even the most outragous and flambouyant person in the real world can be overshadowed by the "competition" and seem "dull" !!

Alex & Jade in the same bed.

Jade: Do you want me to go to my own bed?

Alex: I dont want you too, but i'll keep tossing and turning

But she is incredibly dull. She says the same things, makes the same jokes. She's like the appalling office joker who can't stop saying the same thing despite the fact that no-one laughs. I can't see either Alex or Jade as dull in comparison. As you rightly say, they are extraordinary, and therefore deserve more than the ordinary, dull, boring Jonny & Kate.

I really do have to say that the final four this year have provided fantastic entertainment and I think we all owe them a debt of gratitude for that.

I don't think you'll find many people agreeing that Kate is dull, but she certainly is more "normal" than the other three.

Hope you're not too disappointed when she wins.

Here is something I noticed yesterday which might help. Graham Norton had Dustin Hoffman as a guest and ended his show with a series of impersonations of the some of the housemates. Some were very funny indeed.

They did Tim, Jonny, Alex, Adele and Jade. I think Graham Norton's Tim was the funniest, and Dustin Hoffman's impersonation of Jonny was slightly off and sounded more like Billy Connolly.

Then when they finished, I thought that's odd where's the impersonation of Kate? Then when I thought about it some more, it is actually quite difficult to do an impersonation of Kate. There has been so little outstanding about her, in terms of things she's said, done or her appearance.

She's been fun, polite, stoic, resilient and a bit of a trooper, but nothing really outstanding which lends itself to parody. Others in the house have offered plenty to parody. By the very nature of the title, the winner of BB is someone who is outstanding, so unfortunately I don't think Kate will make it.

Just a nice person will do me.

Yes, Gazza I agree with your point. I was a bit uncomfortable with the conclusion to my last post. It was wrong of me to assert that winners should have any particular quality.

I will vote just for those I like, and that is up to me. There is less of a place for objective judgement.

Anybody else silly enough to predict anything other than a Kate victory?

Maybe Alex

There have been many good quiet qualities of Kate. Look how she & Jonny rallied round Sophie in her last week made miserable by Jade, Adele & Tim, her sense of fun and her forthright honesty in approaching someone she has a problem with. Apart from those jumping on the bandwaggon saying she is false and an actor or flirt (Adele was just as bad if not worse) there is nothing she can be really faulted for. She is a much better role model for my daughter than Jade who at the beginning was a vicious little bully when she had her gang around her.

Sorry, but I just don't agree. I just do not find Kate that interesting. She never does anything to captivate me or draw me to her when I am watching BB.

It has been said that people have called her a flirt, false and an actor. I do not necessarily agree with these labels she has been given, however, I think my general disinterest in her stems from her blandness.

It was funny the first time she did her impersonations, but I am now finding them tiresome. I do not think she is a flirt - there have been many double standards on this forum regarding Kate's behaviour in that respect.

I totally went off Kate, however, after she just got pi**ed once too often and was so ill. She has never thanked Jade for helping her and cleaning up her vomit, and instead ridicules her at every turn. Kate has disgusting eating habits, and in my opinion (and that is what it is and I am entitled to it!) is extremely self centred. Phew! sorry for the length of this.

Kate is a nice girl, although repetitive with what I'd call 'Brian Connelly' humour. Although I'd hate Jade to win as she is sooo irritating and 'vile' she would deserve to win it more than Kate as she is at least her own person, not an Alison/Spencer/Johnny clone.

Alex to Win!!!

wow amazing post, come to think of it all of Kates 'best' moments have been her taking off other personalitys in the house or big brother or copying what Alison had said before.

Noooo! Vote Alex I say! Before Jade had her argument with Adele, I had never, ever watched BB (note even BB1 or BB2), it has been so incredibly entertaining thanks to the eccentric activities of Alex and the looney logic of Jade.

all of the criticisms levelled at kate seem to be regarding her having a good time (play fighting, messing about in the pool, flirting, drinking). i don't see how flirting has suddenly become judged as morally wrong or unacceptable though.

on the other hand, the criticisms levelled at alex are regarding him being negative and miserable. he has been entertaining at times but just seems to have a bit of an attitude problem i think.

kate should win, she has approached BB3 with the best attitude possible. i am sure she knows she is a flirt. she is an attractive young woman for god's sake!

she is good at being a flirt and she enjoys it, so what if this has been a major aspect of her behaviour? she has a lot of other things going for her as well, like her sense of humour, lack of whingeing (even when she's got a stinking hangover and is hurting all over!) and the fact that she is totally down to earth.

why not vote kate???

I dont.
No-one in my large family does. In fact I dont know anyone other than folk on here who want her to win.
Just because you have an opinion doesnt mean that everyone agrees. Not everyone agrees with mine, but its mine to have none-the-less.
You are knocking other people for HAVING an opinion that opposes yours, and thats not on.
Keep up with your argument by all means but dont be so blinkered about it.

Well the proof of the pudding will be in the voting, I think you'll find that more people do like Kate than any other HM.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, it's just that sometimes those opinions are clearly ridiculous and born out of emotion rather than logic.

You are probably right as the bookies are certainly indicating a win for Kate, but Alex has always been the star of the show for me and I dread to think how things would have turned out had Alison stayed.

I don't think I would have been able to see the series through and I am sure others would agree, so either way I think BB has a lot to thank Alex for, as the series would have been a disaster without him.

I do think it is possible that Kate may win, but if it happens, this will be because as soon as Jonny goes, his supporters will switch to voting for her. I think it highly unlikely that she will have the most votes before the first eviction.
BristolSimon
26-07-2002
She will certainly have the most votes after the first eviction, and as I commented originally she will then pick up over 50% of any Jonny supporters' votes after he's gone.

26-07-2002
I think Alex will win, multiple voting will kill off Katie fans.
Alex fans are much more passionate about him.
Jade will come second,
Jonny will be last and 50% of his fans isn't really that many.

I think Kate has to be the hot favourite to win tonight and she has grown on me ten fold since coming into the house. However I'd still prefer Alex or even Jade to win as I've found Kate unoffensive but oh so bland. I think this has been due to her comedy partnership with Jonny which has become so sodding repetative.

Alex and Jade have been constants in the house - constantly irritating with flashes of entertainment and good nature in both of them and that's what made it compulsive viewing for me. If it had just been kate and Jonny I'd have turned off weeks ago - heard one 'Day 36 and the housemates' impression, you've heard them all.

Give it to Alex or Jade they made the show!

On what exactly are you basing your Alex/Jade forecast can I ask?!!!
