No idea but when I registered they added 900

Seeing as there is a kids TV program called Digimon (Japanese - similar to Pokemon!), then yes, there are probably 899 others!

I know I heard of that programme after I made my name and my name has nothing to do with the cartoon

I've just got back having been away over the weekend and having missed Saturday's show.

Never mind, I thought, I'll find out from here when I get back.

But not a sausage!

Thanks, Fern. I wondered if that had happened. It's like going to the toilet during a party, only to return to an empty room!

This has been common knowledge for ages.

As I know you didn' t watch SCD, you won't have heard of It Takes Two which is the programme people are saying is being copied. It was a hugely popular tea-time show where we got to know more about both the pros and celebs on SCD.

Personally I don't see what the problem is in DOI doing it - surprised they didn't do it from the beginning. But maybe they were waiting to see if the show was popular.

I really try not to compare the two shows. SCD was so good and had such a great impact on me that I don't think any other show will match it. But I am a skating nutter so I think it's just great to see skating on prime time TV.

Am seriously worried for Pam though (who I have actually met). I could tell she really was worried about her injury last week. Haven't heard any gossip but I wouldn't be shocked if she had to pull out.

ITV pioneered such competitions and the subsequent "Extra series" on sister channel starting with Pop Idol Extra, Popstars Extra, X Factor extra.

So it's only a matter of time that Dancing On Ice (10 m viewers) get its own Extra spinoff show.

If anything it is BBC who copies such formats from ITV starting with Fame Academy.

In any case what's the problem, I for one am pleased to have this extra bits of Dancing on Ice to watch, as I can't get enough of John Barrowman.

Did you see John Barrowman on ITV this morning? He told us that this week's ice dancing has a Vegas theme and they are doing a group dance. Sounds very good.

I really sympathise with Sean and Marika, not just because they are struggling with the lifts because they're similar height but because they chose to tackle it by doing IMHO a really great authentic ice dance routine (in which of course there shouldn't really be high lifts anyway, nor jumps or prolonged skating apart) and it got such a mixed reception.

Clearly they're allowing moves more akin to pair skating as they're crowd-pleasers and it's a physical challenge for the skaters, but if it was a true ice dance challenge then Sean and Marika ought to be streets ahead based on last week's show, again IMHO.

She shouldn't dance on the injury. I don't see that it would be unfair for the professional skater to be replaced at this stage. In the BBC version it was David Seaman who came in as a last minute replacement for Gazza!

I think it's IMIO (In My Informed Opinion) - I quite agree!

My comment was meant to be tongue-in-cheek being a fan of SCD

I am actually enjoying Dancing on Ice and will enjoy a spin off show showing more of the training

Heard on the radio today that David Seaman has had to pull out this week - didn' t go into detail on what that meant for him in the show long term. But if Pam's injury is as serious as it looked last week, I can't see her coming back.

Just goes to show how difficult a task this show sets. When I see the things they are trying to get the celebs to do I wince some times - in the real world you wouldn't dream of teaching a beginner such things. But I can see they have to do it to make it an exciting show for the general audience. I would love to see them do some more real skating (ie blades on the ice) but then that wouldn't appeal to the mass audience.
