I think the public vote put the judges in a really awkward position. John is the better skater.........but in the dance off, i have to say Stefan did impress and was the better of the two. It's a real shame John has gone, i really thought he'd be there till the end

Stefan was good in the dance off. But I was shaaking so much and nearly in tears. I may go to bed and have a good cry. What the HELL is wrong with everyone??? Why do the general public not love John as much as I do? I'm really really really really really REALLY upset!!!! Kelly was aweful, I'm so angry. John came 3rd with the judges for goodness sake, and he was 1st last week. He did not deserve to go. That fall laast wweek did more damage than anyone thought...... I was so busy being nervous for Sean that it never occured to me that John might be in trouble.

Have to agree with you dawn_maire. I haven't been a big fan of the skate off but tonight I think it gave Stefan a chance to stay in.

I do think Stefan has improved and I think on the night his performance deserved to keep him in. Also I think Kristina is great. She is married to former British Champion Steven Cousins and I always used to love his skating.

can i just squeal at the mention of Steven Cousins? I remember i used to watch him skate as a young girl and i absolutely adored him

As much as I admire her as an athlete (and I have reason to believe she's a lovely person too) Dame Kelly just doesn't have the talent to do Ice Dancing, she's too stiff and wooden. She should have gone tonight

I have to say that I hate the Skate off!!! because if Stefan hadn't gone out there then and kicked ass I'm sure they all would have voted for John. It suuuuucks!

Glad there is another fan out there! Have seen him skate live dozens of times and he is always so entertaining. He is doing really well now in shows in Canada/America.

IMO Steven never really reach his full potential in the amateur skating world. I think nerves usually got the better of him in competition. They certainly did me - I used to be sooo nervous watching him! It wasn't until he went professional that we really started to realise how good he had been and how much he'd be missed. Sadly no other British male skater has been up to his standard for quite a while now.

I used to get nervous watching him skate...... i'd be holding my breath for the entire routine hoping he wouldn't fall. He had so much talent though and used to shine on the ice! Hopefully the show will inspire more youngsters to take up ice skating....would be nice to see some strong British competitors in the future challenging for medals

Right, I'm new to this thread but I have to rant somewhere! O.k, I'm a huge John fan and really wanted him to win, but out of the last two, I will agree that Stefan's performance was better. However (and this is a big however!) John and Stefan shouldn't have been the last two in the first place! In my opinion, it should have been Kelly Holmes and David Seaman, with Kelly going out! She should have gone out last week anyway because she's dreadful! used to really like her as a runner but have grown an intense dislike of her since she's been in this! She's obsessed by her medals and quite clearly thinks that we all should be too! Hate to break it to her but this is about ice dancing, not bloody running! If she had anything about her, she'd quit the show and let John back in! Put her talent back on the track where it belongs and let those who are really great continue!! There, said it!
