If he got a brand new PL1 for £350, that's a really good price.
The retail price is around £500. |

I've owned a 28" PL1 for some months now. I was a dyed in the wool Sony fan, but have had no regrets buying the cheaper Panasonic. First class picture through RGB or analogue, and the set looks good to. It gets much better reviews than the 100Hz PL10 and I have to say that when I saw them both operating side by side it wasn't hard to see why.

I have two of these sets. First one was perfect, second one had some geometry issues. They were easily corrected using a hidden menu. Overall the picture is great. My neighbour has a top of the range Sony (over £1000) and even he says the picture on the Panny looks great. Get it from Dixons.co.uk. Use the 10 % off code and it's yours for £450 delivered. You cannot buy it cheaper! You're friend bought it seconds/ex-display or is having you on.

Come on Gav! Look at the last line of my previous post. Enter that code as your voucher in your basket. Then you'll get 10% off. It runs out soon so get moving if you want to save £50!
