Hi , I recently purchased a 433h via pixmania-pro, and recieved it just befroe Christmas, it is working great except the model is equiped with Showview, rather than the VideoPlus.

I cannot return it, and in any case Pixmania-pro say they don't have any models with the UK /Irish VideoPlus anyway. I gather there is no way of getting any firmware from Pioneer to change the system to VideoPlus ( or am I wrong?) , but does anyone know of anyways I can get around this? For example, is there any system out there that can convert the VideoPlus codes I get in my daily newspaper, into ShowView codes, that I can use to programme my 433H?

Its just a small thing, but it would be cool to get some sort of workaround figured out!

Sorry I can't help with your query but I am considering ordering a 433 from Pixmania.co.uk. Is Pixmania-pro the european site or do you think i will have the same problems from pixmania.co.uk.

As far as I am aware they have the same source ( in France ) for both the UK Pixmania Pro and Pixmania.co.uk. In fact when I contacted Pixmania Pro to ask could I return it I specifically asked could they check to see if they had a UK / IRL model through Pixmania.ie ( the consumer site) ; I was told they did not carry the UK / IRL model at all. But this could be them being lazy and not wanted to swap the DVD!

I would have thought they had a legal responsibility to supply you with a recorder that is designed for your country of purchase, unless it specifically specified at the time of order that you will get a model that does not have all the specified features.

I've downloaded the 433 manual which states on the front 433HS/HK and the manual has videoplus in it so I presume they do sell the 433HK in the UK, although it does not appear on the Pioneer UK site.

Heh, I have the same problem - a 433 remote with "Showview". Glad to see it isn't just me with this problem.

And its a good thing the manual is online as a PDF - my 433 came with six manuals, none of them are in English.

Apart from that, I'm very impressed so far with my purchase.
