Yesterdays problem on the Telewest network affected dialup and HSI users. The 0800 information line reported the cause as an explosion in an electricity junction box that cut a main fibre.
A problem ticket 1804591 (Severity 1) on the Blueyonder service status page seams to reflect the problem.
I notice the problem from around 5pm - with intemittant access. The service then stopped totally at around 7.30pm also the recorded announcment on the 0800 number changed later in the evening from "some" may have lost service to "all" !!
Anyway - it all seams to be back this morning !!
