I would like to know if it is possable to record recorded progson a toppy to a vcr. and what setup is required?? I would apreciate a step by step guide please. Many thanks

It's very simple to copy a recording from the Toppy to a VCR.

Simply connect a scart lead from the Toppy to your VCR. Turn the Toppy on, turn the VCR on and change the channel to the scart input, which can usually be done by selecting channel up/down - mine comes up E1 on the channel number. Then simply play the file you want to and record it on the VCR.

There are other other ways to do this depending on your VCR, such as using the S-Video connections, but I think plugging the scart in is probably the easiest.

Well forget about recording even - can you VIEW the output of the toppy via the VCR? That is tune the telly to the VCR channel and make sure the Toppy is outputting some form of video - do you see it on the telly. You will need to set the VCR to view/record its "AV" channel. It probably has a TV/AV button (maybe called "source" or something) on the remote that is used to "tune" to one of the AV inputs.

If you can see the output from your video on the screen and (separately) you can also see the output from the Toppy on the screen then surely it's only one of two things...

1 - the cable connecting between the Toppy and the VCR

OR (as suggested)

2 - the VCR is not tuned to the right input

I'd be interested to find out whether you get this fixed as my Toppy is due to be delivered today!
