Does a twin tuner apply the same attenuation as one

Can someone please tell me whether the effect of a 9200 in a UHF daisy chain is equivalent to one or two single tuner devices.

I'm not sure what you mean.

Are you asking about signal drop in series? ie one device lowers the signal by 25%, two devices in series reduce the signal by 50%.

As far as I know the 9200 would only act as one device but I might be wrong.

Yes, that is what I am asking. i.e. is the 9200 daisy chained inside as if it were two devices or is there a single input and an active splitter ?

The PVR9200T appears to have an amplifier such that the output UHF signal (to TV, VHS etc.) is of similar strength to the input. If the PVR is turned off at the main switch, the TV signal decreases substantially. With the PVR switched on (or in standby mode) I get 'Five' with no problems or noticeable snow on the analogue TV.

Ahhh, thanks, that's what I was hoping

Apart from when the PVR is starting up - at which point the analogue picture quality is terrible. When it's off, on standby, or on the analogue PQ is still great for me.

The only issue I have is when my 9200 is in stand by I cant get a watchable picture on Five, when the 9200 is turned on then I get a good quality picture on Five.

I think there is a problem with some units ?
