Me too, I was a big fan and still like them all (VB & Geri the most) I sometimes listen to their first two albums and think how great pop music was back then. Hope they reunite this year *listens to Wannabe*

I miss them too, they were a big thing with me whilst in my teens and I still listen to the albums occasionally and agree they had some great songs.

I am 26... My favourtie artists are Tori Amos, Bjork and Depeche Mode... yet I still really really miss the Spice Girls... I own all their singles (including the Pepsi ring-pull ones), and really wish they would reform... they could still do what Girls Aloud are now doing, and none of them would lose any credibility...

The Spice Girls hit number one the week i met my son's dad, so their songs have bitter sweet memories for me.

I do miss them though, catchy simple pop songs, that didn't try and pretend to be anything else. And you could dance about to them, and at 16 for me that was very important lol

Me too - Step To Me that was a cool song!!! And the Move Over live version?

Say You'll Be There is my favourite Spice Girl Song followed closely by Wannabe, Too Much, Spice Up Your Life and If U Can't Dance.

Was very disappointed with their last album though - what the hell was that all about - Spice Girls and RnB don't go together - although did like Holler and If You Wanna Have Some Fun

Well I believe when the person said October they may of been meaning something about a reunion.

I remember around June/July last year there was a lot of fuss about Spice Girls and live 8, and in the end something was mentioned about a reunion tour and that single was being recorded.

Not sure how true all of that was at the time though.

10 years this year since they hit the airwaves.

I never owned the Forever album but the single Goodbye has gotta be my favourite of theirs. It's such a beautiful song. I play it now and I'm not ashamed to admit that.
I loved them, even though I'd have been 10 or 11 when they were around in 1996 but I've still got their cds and have great memories of them.
There just are no groups like them around now. I'm not bothered about a greatest hits CD since I have all their songs anyway but the bonus material and sleeve in the cd case could be interesting.

Their last album was their strongest in my eyes if a bit low-key, the Spice Girls have always done R&B, on their 1st and 2nd albums their were many TLC-Type tracks.

Its just on Forever they went the whole way with it, I thought it was a strong record but lacking that killer dancefloor track.

Sorry but no way is Forever their best album, for one it doesn't have the presence of Geri Halliwell and she was massively important to the group, secondly Its mainly just second rate RnB although I do like Holler and Goodbye of course. Overall majorly forgetable though on comparison to Spice & Spiceworld.

They did write most of their own songs - they were very talented - that is how they earned 20,000,000 each

I quite agree and I don't think there was an r'n'b presence on their first two albums at all - perhaps Somethin Kinda Funny but they were a pop band.

Geri's absence left a gaping hole - her attitude and power madse the Spice Girls - she was the driving force behind it.

Worst cancer on the music industry EVER, which spread to the likes of present day incumbents like the Pussycat Dolls.
