My contract will be in a few weeks and im after a new phone. About a year ago, the best phones on the market was the 6230 and D500 which i got. Everybody had these phones and there was a long waiting list.

What is currently the best phone on the market? I know the SE W800i is good but i dont want that. What about the samsung i3000?

Sharp 903?

Nokia N90?

Both are pretty much on a par with the W800/K750.

Depends what features are most important to you I guess .....

The Samsung looks pretty nifty but the camera is well behind the Sony/Sharp/Nokia. Spanks them all as an MP3 player out of the box though .....

Ive seen the I300 on the web and it looks really good. Im not bothered about the camera though.

It says that it has got windows software? what does all that mean?

MAJORLY biased when i say the Sony Ericsson P990 will be mine when it is released. Have the P900 now...great phone.

Its best for me but not for everyone

Yup i agree i got a Sharp 903 and love it to bits lol and i would say its a excellent phone to get but it really depends on the persons own intrest. If its a camera phone your after you cant get a better camera phone than the Sharp 903 which has a 3.2mp camera (new nokia n80 has 3.0mp). But i quite like the new SEW900i aswell but thats mainly for its MP3 player its not to good for anything else. New Nokia Nseries are quite good too but not my style cept the n91 which i like the look off

I've found 'em to be quite simple to use, but then I've had 'em for years. I think it'll take some getting used to, but what new phone doesn't?

The easiest way to describe it is it works very much like a computer with windows on it!

I hate threads which ask "what's the best phone on the market".

There is no one 'best' phone, it depends on what you're looking for in a phone. You want high storage? Good camera? MP3 player? Good looks? Convenience? Low price? Best reception? Basic operation?

You need to tell us what you want in a phone first before people can even begin to help you.

Then why bother reading let alone posting?

Agreed. Everyone wants everything on their mobile and as we all know it's not possible.... Yet.

Better that everyone gives an opinion of current handsets don't you think?

To show these people how much of a silly question it is.
