I have been using my 710 with the scart connection, but have now purchased a new TV which accepts Component Video connection. I have changed the settings in the video settings on the 710 (ie Line 1 output set to Video, and Component Out set to On), but am getting no picture on the TV with the component leads connected- what else needs to be done?

Make sure your TV is set to display the correct channel for the component video, eg. EXT1/2/3 or AV1/2/3 there should be a button on the remote to flick through the different channels for this.

Also check that the settings on your 710 are component ON and Progressive OFF, this could have something to do with it, try alternating between the 2 see if it makes a dfference

Tried that thanks - it's the AV3 button according to the TV instruction book, tried with Progressive on and off, but still no picture. Any other suggestions?

Make sure that RGB Scart is disabled before turning on component. good luck.
