..and after the initial fuss and interviews have died down, does anyone particularly want to see any of them again. It was different with Brian because hw was genuinally entertaining and has deservedly gone ito presenting but, the current crop?

I'm always staggered when various housemates are described as entertaining and naturally funny. I think the whole series has only been watchable from from a social experiment/ interaction point of view and once it's over I hope they don't hang around. Of course this supposes that any of them want to explore that route, and although they haven't shown much inclination so far, past BB's have lead to at least half a dozen (that I know of) making the, er, leap to obscure TV programmes on digital channels.

Hopefully we won't see much of any of them. Fine in the environment of the 'BB game show' but outside, no thanks

However, I wouldn't mind seeing them together talking about their experience (keeping in context of show)

I'll never forget watching 'Nasty Nick' a few months after BB1 on a BBC Quiz show (It's only TV but I like it?) It was the most embarrising thing I have ever sat through, the other guests (real entertainers) tore him to shreds and he ended up not adding anything at all to the show and looking a complete tit.

Mind you he probably got paid a few quid for his humiliating experience...

S'funny ... my Mrs asked me yesterday if Brian was 'doing anything'!!! I told her he was a regular on Saturday morning TV ... and she said "and that constitutes a success?"

Anyway ... I can definitely live without Jonny and Jade and I don't think that either of them have 'the right stuff' to make it in showbizland.

Kate could make the transition if they coach her correctly ... however I expect she wouldn't last very long as there's nothing 'outstanding' about her. Nice body ... lively (well beyond breaking point for me!) ... but there are THOUSANDS out there just like her (unlike say Mel from BB1 who although deeply unpopular in the house has something extra in her looks that makes her much easier on the eye, and who seemed very articulate and professiional on TV the other day.

Alex could probably do many things well but I suspect he'll shun all the foofaraw and hot tail it to model where he's anonymous.

Nice thread - BTW

Of course the two who should be on our screens more are Dermot O'Leary (a confident and witty presenter who, I thought, would have been given bigger breaks than he has so far) and the actor who plays Avid Merrion (sp?) who has displayed a good comedic character turn.

Not so sure about Davina anymore. I think her overuse of the word "Guys" is starting to annoy.

I think Alison has all the potential to be a very good presenter. None of the others tho.

I think with some of the housemates in there you could quite easily not miss them by just recording some of their sketches they repeat over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over AGAIN!

Being one of the main presenters on the country's highest rated Saturday morning tv show DOES constitute a success.

It is considered to be one of the biggest presenting jobs in British TV and has launched the careers of many of the most popular TV faces still around today.

Chris Tarrant, Lenny Henry, Zoe Ball, Jamie Theakston, Cat Deeley..............

Emma Forbes, Phillip Schofield and Sarah Greene have all enjoyed success as well.

Noel Edmonds also began on Saturday morning TV and for years he was one of the most popular and highest paid figures on British TV.

Then there's Ant and Dec, who admittedly were famous before SM:TV, but without doing Saturday morning tv, their careers would be nowhere near as big as they are now.

No, not having a pop ...... just trying to enlighten her.

Doing Saturday morning tv is a lot bigger of a deal than most people seem to think it is.

Yep, and still am.

In fact, I used to be one of the phone crew who would answer the phones on Live & Kicking during the glory days of Zoe and Jamie.

Life is one long journey of self-discovery. So yes, I am still growing up and never envisage completing that process.

Just realised how pretentious that sounded!
