Completely wrong show! That was the Soapstar Superstar thing...

I hate all this "Dame with two gold medals" nonsense. That's irrelevant here, I wish they'd stop putting her on a pedestal, if she can't take criticism that's her own fault.

What a stupid vote, they've just thrown out one of the top 3 in the programme. IDIOT JUDGES.

OH YEAH! lol

Cos I was thinking it was so much better with this new guy, that's because soapstar superstar was crap and dancing on ice isnt!

Exactly. John, overall, is miles better, but that's NOT what the judges have been told to vote on - therefore they are at least being honest.

Of course it's a stupid rule to forget all the past performances and one that needs to be abolished next series (there's bound to be one).

I wouldnt say that, i mean they strictly have to judge the final performance otherwise what is the point in skating again?

Idiot public for letting John be in the bottom and idiot ITV for letting the public choose.

Nooooooooooo can't believe John is out. I thought his performance was better than Stefan's. Bad me never voted tonight might have helped. Stupid public. Oh well be able to concentrate on watching that musicals thing every week now. Strawberry if you mean the Canadian bit about John he was actually born in Scotland but moved to US when he was a child. If you look on his site:

http://www.barrowmanonline.com/

in the biog section there's a pic of him as a kid wearing a kilt aww and also some pics of him as an adult wearing one.

I think it was a traversy (sp?) that John and Stefen were in the bottom two. Both of them, especially John, did not deserve to be there! I was also really shocked that John went and am annoyed that most of the judges only seemed to base their scores on that performance alone, whereas if they didn't they would have surely let John go through another week!
The one thing I don't understand is who on earth is voting for Kelly Holmes? It's not just the fact that she's a bad skater why I wonder why people are voting for her, its that I can't imagine her having a big fan base compared to John, Stefen and Sean. John was ( ) hopefully getting support from Dr Who fans and those who have seen him on other programmes, Stefen may get support from fans of The Bill and Sean will probably be getting support from Corrie fans, although of course they will be people voting for them just because they are good skaters!
On the other hand I can't imagine that many people who are into athletics voting for Kelly just because she is an athlete - sports stars don't get as much support as TV stars (usually anyway)
I bet she's getting through because of the 'nasty' comments by jason! Even if that is the case or if it isn't I hope she goes next week!
I agree, both John and Stephen have been robbed this week!

My thoughts exactly... I have a feeling all the judges but Jason are scared to critize her, because she will once again go on about her gold medals... She will probably say the same thing in 40 years time in her retirement home when she looses playing a board game 'But I won 2 gold medals!'..whine whine whine.

I actually hope Jason will give out to her big time next week.

Plus I am sure behind the scenes the judges slag her off big time, they are skaters after all, it is the world of bitching

Use some common sense - who have they given better marks to every week Stefan or John? So who's likely to be better next week? So what's the point of saving him?

But bob you're forgetting that we're here here for the TV companies, they're not here for us. Think of the money they make from telephone voting and the sense of involvement that the public feel by thinking they have some control over the proceedings. NOT.

To be fair, he was also about halfway down the judges score list too.

The main reason I'm p*ssed off is the fact Bonnie will clearly walk it now so there's no real uncertainty of the final...

Actually no, at this rate DOUBLE GOLD MEDALIST DAME KELLY HOLMES will

Of course you are right... in that sense tonight's happenings are the best for ITV, as people are obviously reacting quite passionately (I am anyway heee).

I am just soooo annoyed about Kelly Holmes being still in...arghghghgh!

What's common sense got to do with a stupid rule they've been given? They are only following it - tonight didn't Stefan get higher marks anyway?! And in the skate-off I thought he was probably better too. There wasn't much difference, but he was...

The word you're searching for is travesty and so is your post. Do you really vote on these sort of programmes just because you're a fan? If your idol cocks up countless times or learns nothing you still vote? Reality show producers must love you.

The ironic thing about DAME KELLY DOUBLE GOLD MEDALIST HOLMES is that she's coming across as quite an unlikeable person, whereas everyone else isn't.

Ah well I always thought the show was slightly rubbish now I 'm convinced it's very shite. Can't be bothered to watch if the public and judges keep the worst skaters in.

I suppose I am bobble I haven't joined one of the reality threads before but I'm loving this show so much...it never occurred to me that viewers would just blindly vote for their favourites without looking at the merits of the performances.

I seem to be a naive cynic.

But be careful. I'd begun to think that too and then I thought about what she'd been up against for 23 years to get to her achievement. She's no little kitten, she must have a backbone of steel. My only complaint about her is that she might be a panther on the track but she's an elephant on the ice. As long as the public vote her in she's never going to accept that she's bloody awful to watch out of her element.

I totally see where you are coming from... I knew from the first week that the voting, sooner or later, will be down to how popular the 'celebrity' is rather than how high the quality of their skating is. That is the problem with the public voting for such a complex sport that figure skating is, where you need to be an 'expert' to spot if someone is really good (e.g. clean edges), but the public ain't got the foggiest, so they vote for Kelly 'Terrier' Holmes and Bonnie Langford (though, this week she at least skated... so far she has only been lifted... in my eyes that is not a skill that proves skating technique, just that she is an underweight dancer )... for someone with a skating background, this show is, unfortunately, turning into a bit of a farce now.
Even the judges, who really should know better, are not really judging skating technique. Any mistakes are never accounted for, and the required elements are a joke, as no one gets marked down if they are not skated clean...

Oh I could go on and on...

Very true. I've watched ice dancing in the Olympics, and World and European championships and however good a routine has been if I haven't 'connected' with the choice of music I just haven't liked the performance. (That has even applied to T&D with a couple of their show permances.)
IMO the faster tempo of 'Believe' made Stefan look the more positive skater in the skate-off though I wanted John to win.

On that note, it is the Olympics soon, you can see some proper skating there, with real talent

It's bizarre how people vote for their fav's.

I know of the celebs in this show....but vote on technical ability.

Gutted tonight that John went, but Stefan should not have been in the bottom either. No way should they have been the bottom two.

I don't watch 'Doctor Who' or 'the Bill'..I just went on who was better.

I love Kelly as an athelete but as an ice skater she is not so good. The same with David.

Loving the show...hating the results.
