DVD Plus

Hi,

Anyone got an experience with DVD Plus - http://www.dvdplus.co.uk

They currently claim to be selling new DVD titles at cost price (ie Toy Story 2 - £16.92 + £0.88 delivery).

They claim to make no profit on this pricing, and in return 'invite' customer to 'tip' them with their orders.

I have ordered Perfect Storm from DVD+ for £13.40. It sounds like a good deal and from what I have read on the net they have a fairly good reputation. We'll just need to wait and see!

BTW I got Toy Story 2 from DVD Street for £12.99 inc postage using the Student promotion and you can get Region 1 Toy Story 1&2 at Play247.com for £18.

I have just been surfing the net to check on dvd prices, the cheapest seem to be at http://www.play247.co.uk and http://www.gameplay.co.uk but on a few occasions http://www.dvdplus.co.uk has been the cheapest so far. I have used the first two sites and have been pleased with them. What is your opinion of http://www.dvdplus.co.uk?

I only use sites that I have heard of or have been recommended to me.

hmmm, make no profit and rely on tips alone?

Sounds like they won't be in business for long knowing how measley us Brits are when it comes to tipping!

Howver, if they'er cheap and they think they can survive good luck to them!

I'm sure these guys stopped trading a couple of months back. Prior to that, their prices were always good and the service exemplary. I only stopped using them when dvdstreet's prices got very keen.

There is no mention of tips on the site now and all prices include free postage and packing. As Skysurfer2000 has used them I will give them a blast too.
