Surely she should have been told?

Who else thinks they should have brought her in for Dennis's funeral?

She was his sister afterall... and she hasn't been mentioned ONCE since his death.

She was too ashamed because it was all her fault that Dennis is dead. If she didin't want to play happy families Dennis and even the great Den Watts would have been alive too if she didn't go looking for them

I agree she was missed too.

I also found it hard to believe there was not one person from his mothers side of the family in attendance - not an aunt or a cousin, no reference at all to the Rickman's.

Because there is none. Dennis grew up in a childrens home.

Yes... but I thought i'd point it out.. y'know.

Without threads like this one and other people creating threads discussing the soaps, (bearing in mind that 'they're not real') - i think the Soaps forum would be a quiet dull place indeed!

that was the first thing i thought of when they showed the funeral ep, they should have at least mentioned why they didnt bring her back i mean she was closer to him than anyone, even when he and sharon weren't together she was there for him.

and i understand its not real, just an annoying inconsistency

This has already been discussed in at least 2 other threads, but I agree it was unrealistic not even to mention Vicki, especially since Dennis and Sharon were supposed to be visiting her.

I get the impression that the writers are trying to put the Berridge-era Watts family behind them. Den's back in his grave, Vicky's back in America, Chrissie's in prison and Dennis is dead. It's like the last 2-3 years never happened.

And who do we have in their place? The fat pseudo-Krays and their dear old mum.
