Anyone who takes there own life after being evicted from a reality TV show must have had issues that went beyond the show and the rejection suffered. Although it is possible that this was the straw that broke the camels back.
Blaming a TV show for an individuals suicide is impossible to prove or disprove. A similar argument may arise from a situation where it is discovered that a mass murderer used to play violent computer games. Was there a link? No one knows and ever will.
All I can say is that hundreds of people take part in shows such as this every year and do not resort to such drastic measures. Maybe the screening process for potential contestants needs to be made more stringent, but personally I just think it was an unfortunate incident that, statistically speaking, was bound to happen one day.
