Does anyone have any experience with these mini DV tapes?:

http://www.aprmedia.com/product.php?pid=1772

I can't decide on these, Sony or TDK.

I use Panasonic miniDV tapes all the time. Never had a problem with them.

I too use Panasonic DV tapes, a pack of three were included with my purchase from Argos.

I have used both 60 mins and the longer 83 mins and are cracking quality.

Also used TDK and very little difference in them to be fair.

I use Panasonic - the 80min ones (2 hours in LP) are very useful for longer recording sessions (but much more expensive). I was amused by the "Unbeatable Price - Guaranteed" banner on that website - http://www.kvjfairdeal.com/ are cheaper (as doubtless are others) - their quoted price includes VAT. Perhaps you could ask them to "price-match".

Oh no, i wish you hadn't posted that, lol.

Can i ask them to price match, even after i've already sent the cheque off? I guess i could try. But they might not, cos they have different wrappers. They could say they're not exactly the same product.

I've emailed them and asked them. Fingers crossed!

I could have tried cancelling my order, but i might end up with no tapes and no money back.

There are actually only a few manufacturers of DV tapes apparently (Panasonic, Sony and Fuji)... it's also well worth sticking to one brand of tape as each manufacturer uses slightly different lubricant chemicals which gets depostited on your DVcam... mixing brands can cause head clogging more often.

www.7dayshop.com have very good prices for Panny DV tapes.

You have to trawl through the 'specials' and 'clearance' pages, but the prices are good.

I've bought from them loads of times and never had a problem. Recommended.

They say they can't do a price match, but i can send them back and get a refund minus the p&p, so i would only be saving £3.50 on kvjfairdeal, so it's not worth it.

Not much of a guarantee, then...

Current suggestions:

KVJ - £1.35
Pricebuster - £1.45
7DayShop - 5 for £11.49

Has anyone found anywhere cheaper than KVJ for the 60min tapes? If so where?
Pricebuster look good for the 80min tapes, though (at £3.99.).
