it doesnt have to be full of young people but the younger ones should not be forced into old age just because the older ones dont like it

The two most boring housemates in there are Preston and Maggot - between them they've contributed virtually nothing - said nothing interesting, done nothing interesting, said nothing funny, done nothing funny etc etc.

No more geriactric old blandies like these two again please Endemol.

No I welcome the change. Most people have been saying this is one of the most enjoyable Big Brothers ever and it really is the first that hasnt been packed mainly with airheads.

Of course the average BB viewer thinks that "fun" involves behaving stupidly, running around throwing water etc over each other and shrieking at the top of their voices. Another definition of "fun" would be two, three or four people of either or both sexes giggling and having a group snog and/or exposing body parts. It's just hilarious and fabulous to watch, isn't it?

Obviously having a conversation about an interesting topic in which all participants are able to form complete sentences and not say "know wha' I mean" every other word is totally boring in comparison.

jodie was the only one to stand out because the other ones dare not for the fear of having MB starting in on them when he thinks he is not the center of attention

I can't help laughing at that opinion. No offense of course.

I would like them to carry on this policy of making it heavy on the over 35's.

I mean usually you get people like Michelle, Emma, Leslie, Helen, Stuart.....and it REALLY is boring to watch unless there are people in there with a more grown up outlook on life or a short fuse.

but all those housemates- bar Lesley- proved popular with the majority of the viewers

They all were in the top 20 housemates ever and were cheered

We would rather see people like this than a bunch of Camerons

LOL very true though, i don't think any of the younger HM"s will come out of thier shell now incase they get the same treatment as Jodi, George bangs on about respecting your elders so much that they all probably think they are back in school with a couple of not right teachers and the demon headmaster

I, too, believe that too many of the HMs are too old this year :

The combined age total of the 11 was 423, with an average of 38.

The combined age total of the 11-Chantelle was 401, with an average of 40.

The combined age total of the 10 is 396, with an average of 40.

The combined age total of the 10-Chantelle was 374, with an average of 42.

The combined age total of the 10+Savile is 476, with an average of 43.

Please Note : I'm 40+ too, but sight of the "oldies" ganging up this morning, so that one of their own could profit more easily sickened me .....

I think the likes of MB and GG are too controlling in that house. They don't like when the younger ones do what they want to do for a laugh.

MB in particular thinks he can just tell them to shut up and then they will, when they don't he gets upset. I think it was awful when GG justified MB's behaviour by telling Jodie and Chantelle that they should respect their elders, but he didn't say anything to MB about him telling Chantelle to shut up.

I remember watching live streaming and GG told Traci that she shouldn't act in any unladylike ways because the GBP don't like a woman to act that way. Ever since then, Traci has been withdrawn and very quiet.

Why can't they just let the housemates be who they are without trying to control their behaviour? Even Pete said recently that he was glad that George was in the house because he would have done some really bad things by now. Isn't that what we want to see, the celebs being their "real" selves?

He's right though, isn't he? History of BB has shown we prefer the girls to be sweeter and more classy.

Sound advice, I'd say!

I can't really comment Slappers. I haven't seen much of the live feed to see how they are all interacting. I've enjoyed all the highlight shows so far and of course they always make out that the day is jam packed with riveting entertainment.

It was so true in Diary Room Uncut when Chantelle said there would be murder if she came out of the diary room and announced she was cooking dinner for the house that evening. You can just imagine Michael's reaction.
I like the mix of housemates, but Chantelle, Preston and Traci really are getting stifled. I really don't see Maggot doing ANYTHING, no matter who was in the house.

I see and agree but I think the problem is mental age and not physical age.
People have mentioned last year where the oldies like GG/JS/JM were fine.
This year we have the rule of fear from GG/MB/PB -these only really want to get through the time and reap the benefits and not make a story and enjoy the experience for itself.
Unfortunately the others(except Jm/CH and maybe SP)are of weak character and have slipped into the habit of deferring.

I don't think its so much their age, as preconceived ideas of them before they went in. It must be quite daunting if you're in your early twenties to be faced with a Member of Parliament known for his strong views and a once successful comedian who has been the subject of press attention for the past 5 years, it also has more to do with overbearing personalities completely stifling others as well

You say that and she's not even gone one day? Of course it's going to be crap if you don't give it a chance!

Stop moaning, the show wasn't all about Jodie, we have a house full of common youngsters during the summer, the good thing about CBB, and the thing I like about it, is we finally get to see some older contestants, they have had many more life experiences and are therefore much more interesting...

Also, the show has REVOLVED around the older names, George and Michael have been two of the biggest characters!

Meanwhile, two of the biggest DULLARDS are two of the young ones - Maggot and Preston...
