She's tiny and an excellent dancer so it will make it easy for her partner to lift etc. She has many advantages but then she has the ability as well. I'd expect to see her at the final stages. |

If she wants to win it, she should actually start skating, so far she has only been lifted...

I thought Bonnie was great last night, I can't believe she is over 40, she is so supple, she is such a professional that I'm sure she will improve greatly on the ice over the coming weeks. I'm really looking forward to it.

Seeing as John's gone, Bonnie has won it all ready. There's no competition left. Unless she is 'voted' off before the finals.

(I feel most sorry for Sean, being the non-pro and having a partner bigger than he is! ) |

When she's actually on the ice she's ordinary.

I've just checked her biography ... she's only four years older than my daughter. She LOOKS about 15 years older. Having said that, she is amazing in her suppleness. I can see a HUGE Ice Show career opening for her now .... which is great. For anyone to have a new career open up half way through life is really nice.
Does she have an advantage?? Well, no more than - say - Colin Jackson did in SCD. He's an athlete so was bound to do better than Bill. And that's what "Celebrity ...." something is all about. Celebrity's from different walks of life trying something new. I think she ought to win on merit. But then Cap'n Jack should still be there if it's all about merit. So although I think Bonnie SHOULD win (she is easily the best performer on ice), they may fix it so Gaynor does. |

So far they've given her show tunes or uptempo numbers where she feels comfortable. I adore what she's doing. Some of those moves take a LOT of skill and trust. But I would like to see them skate to a ballad so we can see more edgework and flow. I think she's more than capable of it though and there was a massive improvement in her basics on Saturday.

I love watching Bonnie skate, regardless of how long her feet actually touch the ice for. She is so graceful. although her constant grinning is getting slightly tiring. Im sure she is genuinely thrilled at her success and popularity, and also agree that its lovely to see someone get a second chance at a career particularly one so unexpected!
As much as I enjoy Bonnie's performance Im rooting for gaynor to win. Even though her obvious first show nerves slightly damaged her performance, I love her style and grace and think that she is a strong contender for the title. |
