Just a little reminder that users have to treat each other with respect on DS if they want to remain here...

Jade was fortunate to be in at the end. Interference from that Myagi guy, some clever editting and a media frenzy all contributed to Jade making the fnal week.

She is loud, brash and seems poorly educated, but some of the nation took her into their heart, myself included. We saw many facets of Jade's character and I think this is one of her endearing features.

After some of her atrocious behaviour did she deserve to make it to the last four? No, I don't think she did, but lover her or hate her she was an invaluable source of entertainment and I can see why Endemol/Ch4 wanted her to stay.

how do you think the 'lack of discerning viewers' made Jade go before Alex then?.

at that point they were discerning but those that tuned in later and voted were all Kate and Jonny fans

and piggys were flying too

well.. all ive got to say is that Im pleased for kate, I wanted Jade to win,. I have no sour grapes about it though, and have really enjoyed this years BB. to get back to the thread..I spent in total, probabaly about 10 quid voting during the whole series.
Money well spent for the 9 weeks of great entertainment and suspense. I have no arguments at all about that.Noone forces anyone to vote or spend money on this.

You don't need to be Einstein to make a judgement on Jade, her personality hit's you like a sledgehammer. She was evicted first on Friday because she received less votes, plain and simple.

Jade.

Anyone else you want to insult while you're on your Benson v the World crusade?

And Kate won because she got the MOST votes!. Alex came third because he got more votes than Jade but less than Jonny and Kate. Jonny came second because he got more votes than Jade or Alex but less than kate.
Plain and simple.

Saying my comments have insulted all the people that voted for Jade is a clear indication of your lack of understanding regarding the point I have made. The only person I see firing insults at anyone is you.

Ha Ha you just implied that the greater public is not discerning. If that's not an insult I don't know what is.

Keep digging that hole you're in.

And back to the point. Kate won. Looks like your boy came in 3rd. Bad luck, but that's life.

Oh I'm blinkered?

I backed Kate - she won
You backed Alex - he lost

You lose
It's time you accepted I am the better man

Good luck in finding some reality you ungraceous LOSER
”

hum... I agree with the first comment, Kate won, Alex lost... the rest however...

I prefered Alex myself... but I haven't lost... It just means that my views are different that Joe public... Am not ashamed of that... and it's not news to me!!!

am I annoyed and disppointed yes quite a bit I must admit... Because I do not think that the best/more interesting/more original person won...

am not even going to comment to the quote "I am the better man"... oh heck, yes I am... I dont view the better man as the one who followed the masses... I view the better man as one that has his own view, defend them no matter what, and doesnt need X millions of people to tell him that he is right. You are accusing Aha of being ungracious in "defeat", well you seem to be very smug in "victory" Neither are good traits of personality.

If you followed the masses on here you would be an Alex supporter.

Kate and Jonny fans have put up with so much grief these last few weeks that we have a lot of steam to let off. We have every right to celebrate our victory on here, it is just a shame that we are surrounded by pathetic losers.

If you can't accept it it's tough, Alex lost and many on this board simply can't face it. Face up to it, the herd was wrong and the rest of us that toughed it out got our reward.

Your inability to grasp the basic concept of where I am coming from must be very frustrating for you Jezza, I assume that is why you were resorting to insults. I shall break it down for you:

a) Big Brother has a large viewing audience.

b) A relatively small percentage of that viewing audience will actually vote.

c) The number that do vote will consist largely of the type of person that is less intellectual and for them the forced slapstick style of humour from Jonny and Kate is easier to comprehend than the dry wit of Alex. This has clouded their perception of the true Kate and Jonny, they are oblivious to their incessant playing up to the cameras and seek comfort from their simplistic form of humour.

d) The more perceptive viewer, the people that see Alex as the star and have sussed the 'actors' for what they are, are less likely to vote. This maybe for reasons of not caring, elitism or a realisation that at the end of the day it is not important enough to warrant their vote.

You are not understanding the point that I am trying to get across. I don't feel that I have lost, in the same way I don't feel that you have won...

To make an analogy... if my best friends gets a great job in some firm. Even though I supported her, I would not feel I had been successful!!! You have not WON anything, I haven't LOST anything...

I do not see how you qualify yourself as a "better man" because Joe public agrees with you!

re-read my first post basically...

I prefered alex... I looked at him on TV and decided he was more my kind of person. The fact that he has not won, does not make me WRONG... It just mean I and many others have different views...

The fact for example that Le pen won over the socialist party in france does not make the people that voted for the socialist party wrong...

Of course I understand the point, I'm just ignoring it. Like I say my side won. You can compare it to politics to protect your fragile ego but the fact is that we won and in my eyes it is correct, and I'm very happy about it

Top marks and very accurate. Problem is, Benson m8, that it is a view demanding of some capability by the reader to understand relatively simple arguments well put, and some of the intellectual reasoning behind them. And this would not be true on average of the Jonny supporters to whom the arguments were targetted. Like Jezza. Throw him a bag of crusty toe nails and a can o' lager or seven and ask him to do a one legged dance whilst showing his cheeks and his danglee bits... now we're into more familiar territory. It's horses for courses, no?

hehe it's you guys that are less perceptive, that's why you backed the wrong horse

lol, my analogy to politics was mainly because like in BB, the result of an election is based on general public opinion, and had very little to do with my ego...

I really dont see why Alex fans or any HM's fans are being called losers, WE didn't lose anything(apart from the mounting 25ps!!)
The thing I think that upsets us the most, is not the fact of Alex losing, but in the way he lost. Endemol and CH4 stepped on his thunder midway through the series. The producers had no right villifying certain HM's and calling them names. Talking of villifying, I thought the booing for Tim was sickening!! They were like ranting yobs. But, this is not down to them, but the way Endemol portrayed Tim, I'd be the first to admit, I didn't like Tim, but then there was no need to show his ranting off in the diary room, funny though it was, they knew the response Tim would get by showing this. Going on about his ginger hair constantly. He was put to the mercy of the BB editors and they decided that Tim was going to be a hate figure. They didn't show Jonny's ranting both inside and out of the diary room, possibly because he was being lined up for the final two.

BB's policy this year was to create as many hate figures as possible and select one or two, that would get protected and show all of their nice things. When they started with Jade and saw the media attention, they realised they'd gone too far, but it didn't stop them villifying Adele or Tim. They didn't want Alex to win, not very good publicity, someone winning who actually hated being in the house, that wouldn't do!!

They should have either have shown only the HM's nice side or if they were to show bad sides too, then it should have applied to all of the HM's. Not picking certain ones, who they decided it was time for them to go. In either case, they had no right creating Names for them such as whinger, scheming duo, bitchy, morose, gangly. It was totally disgusting!!

So if I am bitter it's not with Alex losing merely at the portrayal Endemol gave which led him to lose.
Hammy

Agree with you there AHA, plus you can add the psychologists influence on Jade, as another instance of changing the house dynamics. From that point onwards Adele and then alex had no chance. At that point in the series with PJ very friendly with Adele and Alex it was more likely to be Jonny and Kate up for eviction, but once the psychologist interfered that sent Jade into overdrive trying to repent to Jonny etc, put Adele on the backfoot, and sent PJ scurrying to Jonny, with his, I've seen this in her for weeks comment. The whole balance of power had shifted in a matter of hours. That is the point where this BB became pointless, as C4 etc had overstepped their mark. I don't think it was done to help Jonny as such, more Jade, but the biggest winner was Jonny and Kate.
