Thanks for that - fascinating stuff. WIll we get to see any of it does anyone know. I can't believe Kate was drunk yet again. What a role model. Alex does seem to have been a bit out of order but I think she really upset him. Spencer wanted Jade to win, so I hope he was just doing the gentlemanly thing because he had appeared to see through Kate's acting.

Come on FB! kate is P***d, she is then attacked by alex and you accuse her of being a poor role model!! what about Alex? attacking girls again? On the Richter scale of social behavior, getting pissed falls way below attacking drunken women.

It seems odd that a main tabliod didn't report this and have a field day. I always take any newspaper article with a pinch of salt.

I am so glad Alex didn't win. Can you imagine if he did, what he'd be saying to Jonny and Kate? That's horrible, isn't it? Oh well.

I wouldn't say attacked. He shouted at her and said she was Two faced,

She was pissed (Again) and couldn't answer back so Spencer had to do it for her.

What? Do you mean by nominating him (which IIRC was part of the game) or by winning? What a stupid thing to say say!

How can you try to offer any kind of defence for the indefencible?

Do you believe all you read? These tabloids aren't always the most reliable.

This is the sunday version of the Daily Record, which is the main tabloid in Scotland.

Think it is sister paper to the Mirror.

(unless it's a favourable post about my favourite housemate - yeah right!!)

Alex once again giving us more reasons why the public preferred Jonny and Kate over him

fj, I'm not sure attacking is the right word. I suppose it isn't very nice being shouted at, especially, if someone is right in your face but I do think there was some justification. She did play Alex for a mug. As much as I like him, he seems very naive in some ways - whilst Kate, I perceive, as a skilled manipulator. It is always difficult to assess the situation properly because we all know that the papers print what they want to sometimes, not what actually happened. Afterall, SM, said Alex was upset at not winning, but I, genuinely believe he didn't want to win - he just didn't want Kate or Johnny too. Maybe, that shows him as being ungracious - but he is the one that lived with them for 9 weeks, not us - so I tend to allow for this.

As for Kate, the number of women of that age drinking too much now is rising rapidly. Alcohol causes all sorts of serious problems in our society and I am disappointed that Kate is endorsing this trend.

"Spencer wanted Jade to win, so I hope he was just doing the gentlemanly thing because he had appeared to see through Kate's acting"

Nah, he's maintained that Kate was the nicest of the girls, and wanted Jade to win as she was going to get a rough time once she came out. He said "If not Jade, then Kate".

I don't know about this one. It wouldn't surprise me, but the fact it's only in ths tabloid and none of the others makes me think it's just their spin on the whole thing. Be a fantastic story if it was true though... Spencer and Alex having some kind of wrestling match over it all. Just brilliant.

In every story there must at least be a grain of truth in it. But even if it's bull, I'm still glad it was Jonny and Kate together in the house til the end. I thought it was so cute when he picked her up and started twirling her around on stage. And what he said in the diary room, "I laugh because Kate's there". And what was that about Kate thinking jonny was really fanciable? Hmm. I think it was just friendship though, but my friend maintains she was so into him. I disagree, but hope they're friends for life. The one thing I don't want is for Kate to get together with Duncan from Blue. How ratty would I be? He was so fine in that little clip they showed. Anyone else think Johnny Depp has finally aged?

It would be great if true - Kate getting the mouth full that she deserves - but I don't think it is.
Had this happened the reporter involved would have been able to sell this story to the London tabloids for a fortune .The fact that it has not appeared anywhere else makes me very suspect. Its also a bit short of detail.

Is the newspaper concerned related to the Mirror group or is iy an independent ? Anyone know?

I have been accused of attacking peeps on here on numerous occassions when all I have done is stand my ground, I have not gone up to someone and shouted in their face or put my case that someone has had to step in and shove me away! If it applies to me then it certainly applies to alex.
As for Kate being a skilled manipulator....Hmmm, she was drunk, she really must be skilled!
Also, kate is not to blame for societies alcohol problems.

I was not defending one housemate the same goes for all 14 of them. Newspapers are there to make money they will put whatever spin they choose to increase their profits.

The Sunday Mail is crap as is its sister paper the Record. If this story has any shred of truth it will appear in a much bigger tabloid. The usual cop-out, this 'event' is attributed to 'a source'.

No, clearly nominations were part of the game. Tactically, Kate played a fabulous game. But I think Alex is entitled to feel taken for a mug. He was manipulated by Kate (and others yes, he is naive but loveable, all the same). I think he felt he and Kate had got closer and that Jade was the the "two-faced" one. After, having his "blinkers" removed, I guess he was upset and, I for one, don't blame him.

fj, I guess there is some truth in your point but I guess, at the moment, we have no way of knowing the "truth".

When I was speaking of Kate being a skilled manipulator I wasn't talking about when she was drunk. I think she played up to Alex (like Sandy, Tim and some of the others did) and then continued to nominate him every week etc. I would guess Alex is gutted at being such a bad judge of character.

I know Kate is not to blame for societies alcohol problems but we all know people who are in the media influcence impressionable people.

Just read the article in the paper, I have never read so much biased garbage. The Sunday mail, managed to get an exclusive, at a party where it was full of people and no doubt full of press, but the sunday mail were the only ones who saw the "exclusive" bust up!! lol The reporter is obviously out of touch with her fellow scots, as being one, as I've said before EVERYONE(no we're not in our teens or twenties for that matter) I know wanted Alex to win, even neighbours. To accuse "the moaning model of being furious that Kate scooped the prize he believes should have been his" Utter nonsense, said WHO exactly?! I always thought the news of the world was the paper that made up it's stories to suit whoever was reporting them, as an avid "Sunday mail" reader I am disgusted.

This article - do we know what led up to Alex shouting in Kates face? I can't believe he just went up to her and started in on her for no apparent reason.
Any remote chance Kate, being pissed, could possibly have said some provocative things?

Metafis, I hope that wasn't aimed at me. I'm annoyed by the garbage reporting, not that he lost.

Sounds very like an exaggeration. There was probably some shouting and an argument, but a 'bust up' sounds a bit much. They were all drunk (again) after all. I think Alex was disappointed in himself and took it out on Kate as she was indirectly responsible for it.
But he was definitely not fuming about not winning. In the last few days he said very firmly that he didn't want to win, and I doubt he would change that opinion afterwards.

It was aimed at the post immediatly preceding mine.
I dont know what truth is in the article, you are probabaly correct in that its a big exageration, but its does seem that Alex can behave as badly as he wants and some still try to defend him, and turn it on to the person he is attacking.
