Pop idol is more of a scam then Big Brother. Every body is saying that thier was to much booze and so on but on pop idol Gareth Gates was manipulated by the programme and judges. What i mean is we didnt see anything else of gareth gates execpt we saw a little poor 17 year old with stammner and the judges were pushing Gareth to win and they didn't even give a tose about the others. And what about those people who got slated by Simon Cowe okay their were awfull but Simon gave out personal attacks at everyone just like what the press did to jade. And all those people who say the bb contestant get what they r asking for and they r wannabes well just look at all the stupids mingers who go into pop idol and try to get though they r jsut as bad e.g. ymca girl.

So for all those people who r slating Big Brother just look at pop idol again and see thinks from a different point of view. i hope people agree with me

They're as bad as each other... that's the entertainment business... Be it television or music. The only thing people behind these shows are interested in is money.

Still, the people who go on these shows should use it to the best of their advantage. Jade should make herself as much money as she possibly can, and be careful about what she says (already, it looks like she's putting her foot in it), and people like Will Young should be as careful as possible with the people he's got behind him (no jokes please).

The winners will always be the men in black suits, but that doesn't mean the others can't be as well - Providing they go about things the right way, which I really hope every contestant on these shows does. The good guys are the ones that take part and entertain us for weeks, whether we ended up liking them or not, the bad guys are the ones that use them for nothing more than their own profit, and then just throw 'em away like rag dolls at the end.

I hated Pop Idol and the model one. Stopped watching very swiftly.

BB makes it's money directly from us, not from the Housemates. It does not set out to ridicule it's contestants (it just lets the viewers and Press do that)

Some of the panellists on Pop Idol were out and out cruel, and it was not kind.

What does anyone think the tabloid reaction(and public) would have been , if Jade was on pop idol, not BB, and Simon Cowel said 'You look like a pig and sing like one'.

Yes..Simon Cowel was cruel, but, as you say, people in BB have had worse treatment at some time from the media and the public.
